Reviews
"I’ve lived in these apartments for 3 years now , the management has been awesome and helpful with any problems I had. They are always supportive and a great team!"
"The worst place to live. The apartments are very neglected, the administration is horrible. They gave me the apartment in the same condition as the previous tenants left it. I was without a washing machine for a month and every time I went to the office or called they told me that they would change it and nothing, I have been living here for almost two months and I still don't have keys to the mailbox or a filter in the air conditioning and all The days they tell me that they are going to bring them to me. They do not have any Professional Ethics. I've had nothing but disappointments and problems since we moved here."
"I’ve lived here for 1 year and 4 months. I want to preface this review and say that I don’t have a ton of bad things to say about management. The ladies in the office and the maintenance staff are always very friendly, albeit the office staff can be hard to get a hold of unless you have time to stop by the leasing office in person. I have 2 issues with the complex: the units and the tenants/safety (this is a big one). The Units: I’ll keep this short as I really want to talk about the tenant/safety situation. To summarize, multiple of these units have roach infestations, water damage (my unit has flooded FOUR times since moving in), and mold problems. The wood in the cabinets is warping and there are cracks in the walls. There is AWFUL insulation and the air conditioner is incredibly inefficient. Expect to pay $500-600 a month on your electric bill unless you go on an average billing plan. Even then expect to pay between $250-300 (this is in a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom, 866 sq ft apartment). This is a very, very, very shortened review that hits the main points of issues here. While not the current property manager’s fault, these units were cheaply built and poorly maintained by previous owners, and it shows. The tenants: This has quickly become the absolute worst part of living here. I’d like to say that I’ve lived in various apartments throughout my life. I’ve never experienced the level of douchebaggery that I have here. The people that live here are incredibly inconsiderate and only care about themselves. I'm talking off-leash dogs, kids running around and screaming inside for hours on end. People who let their dogs run loose and let their dogs pee on their porches. Also people who keep breaking into mailboxes. Now, the biggest issue with the tenants here is safety. Let me explain. I lived in Chicago for 11 years where playing the “is it fireworks or gunshots” game was a part of my regular routine. I felt safer in Chicago than I do here. In the short time I’ve lived here, there have been some big instances where the police have had to show up in a big way. The first time was the biggest one, where they sent an armored truck with guys in tactical gear. They shut down the parking lot and for an hour we had to listen to them yell into a megaphone for everyone one in I think unit 1028 to come out with their hands up. At one point they even deployed some sort of robot. Eventually, they left and management (Bell Partners, not RPM) sent an email saying they were “aware of the situation and cooperating” but we never found out what the actual deal was. The last incident occurred last night/early this morning (2/25/24). I was woken up by what I thought was loud banging, but once I fully woke up I understood that it was actually gunshots very close by. Someone was shooting either into cars and/or into one of the buildings next to mine. I heard glass breaking and screaming, and all I could do was grab my cat, go into my roommate’s room to wake them up, and hope they didn’t move closer to us and keep shooting. Thankfully after a few minutes, the cops showed up, but the cops also stayed well into the morning. Not sure if it was targeted or random or if anyone was hurt. There also hasn’t been any communication from management yet, but then again the office is closed on Sundays. These incidents occur outside of the normal things I hear. There's more but I can't include it all due to Google's character limit. If you want to move into the area, I’d seriously consider how safe you would be here. There are other complexes within a 2-3 mile radius that appear to be safer and offer similar amenities and apartments for less money. My plan of action is to continue picking up overtime at my current job and work on getting a second job to save enough money to be able to afford to move when my lease is up next year. In fact, depending on how quickly I can save money, I may actually pay to break the lease (roughly $3k) and move before then. That’s how unsafe I feel here."
"Adding a star with this update!! Rent is reasonable again, so I'm back. No complaints with the condition of my unit. Mailboxes are broken with no plan to repair them, but overall the current management is the best that's been here in the last 5 years. Can’t beat the location for the price!! [shopping, food, entertainment, MetroRail, H.E.B all within 5 miles]. Maintenance is prompt and actually resolves issues. (2022) My renewal offer was 30% higher than what I was paying, so decided to move. ***UPDATE 4/28/2021*** We are currently on the 3rd management company within a year. Bell Partners Inc. is professional and working to upgrade the property, which is outdated and literally falling apart. Things to know: $25 Valet Trash Fee [not optional] Some units DO NOT have washer/dryer connection Carports have collapsed (even prior to winter 2021 storm) No security gates Pros: Location Cons: Malfunctioning a/c units are popular around here. It takes multiple service requests for any appliance to be properly repaired or replaced. Minor cosmetic issues: old poorly painted doors, busted tiles, broken mirror, poorly repaired walls, etc. There's nothing aesthetically pleasing about any of these units - no granite countertops, no flashy appliances, sloppy paint jobs, and that's the "upgraded" unit. Mail boxes have been broken for over a month now with no estimate on when they will be repaired or replaced. The post office where we have to p/u mail is ridiculously busy. Literally takes an hour to stand in line unless you're there before 9:30am. *UPDATE: 11/20/20 - Mailboxes repaired//Post Office resumes mail delivery. *Update: New Management accepts packages at leasing office. The Lakes at Renaissance Park provides a roof over your head, no more, no less. If you're low maintenance, it's tolerable."
"Over a year to have the repairs that still were not done. People in the office mixed up rent payment with someone else. No one wants to come home to a standoff SWAT situation! Or neighbors fighting physically and throwing rocks at each other cars over and over again and nothing done about anything at all. Within a two-year span went through three or four office managers or people who just sat in the chair looking crazy. Small and compacted parking. I would not recommend this apartment to anyone at all!"
