"Would not recommend anyone I know to live here. Had to live with hole in ceiling for months before it was repaired. They didn’t pay for us to stay somewhere else let alone reimburse us. These was just the tip of the iceberg with this place. It may be cheaper than other places in Austin, but your quality of life will decrease by living here. Posting photos again because they paid to have them removed the first time."
"I was very close to signing at Fashionaire, but ultimately didn't for a couple of reasons. While the exterior is extremely retro and quaint, and the units are a decent size for the price, management was a huge red flag for me. From the time I showed interest in renting an apartment there, up until being sent a lease to sign, communication was extremely poor. I sent probably a total of 10 emails, called numerous times, and was rarely connected with someone. The current woman who works there, Lydia, is kind but very unorganized. The only way I could get ahold of her was by coming to the property in person two times (which was not very convenient for me). When I asked her if she had received my calls or emails she came up with an excuse every time. On top of this, on the day I happened to tour, a resident of the community had written the phrase "danger, do not rent" on the sidewalks surrounding the property. Though I do not know that particular resident's experience at Fashionaire, it served as a final straw in my decision. Before you sign, these are definitely some things to consider!"
"It’s impossible to get in contact with management. They sent a note stating they would freeze rent increases due to the pandemic the day after I renewed where they hiked up rent $100/month. I was in contact with someone to get it figured out, only to be ignored for weeks. Left voicemails since no one ever answers the phone and have yet to receive a call back. Awful."
"Loved this building for the first year we lived here, but earlier this year the management swapped over to Cirrus and it has been like night and day to how it was before. There is never anyone in the office to speak to about concerns, and I've never had someone answer my phone calls including the time they posted a notice on our door saying we would be evicted within 24 hours. They never tried to contact us via phone or email, if we had been traveling we may have come home to find all of our stuff out on the street. (When I finally got in touch with them after calling for hours, they realized it was a problem with their new rent payment portal and we resolved the situation). Recently, we received notice on a Monday afternoon that all of our washers and dryers in the community laundry room were going to be taken out to be replaced that day and we would be without laundry for 3 days. When the new machines were installed (two weeks before Christmas) they were now paid-for machines charging approx. $3 per load of laundry. We were not notified of this change by management, but discovered it when we first went to do laundry in the new machines. There has also been a slew of unscheduled maintenance happening around the complex. We were concerned on Halloween night when we heard constant load banging sounds coming from the pool, only to find they were installing a fence at 11pm.The other morning we were woken at 8am by workers loudly installing new frames around our windows. They've now been working on them all week, throughout the day. Cirrus management is entirely unpredictable and uncommunicative with us and I just don't see any way we'd renew our lease with them managing the property. It's very sad because we used to love this apartment, but many of our old neighbors have been driven out as well. I'm only posting this review to warn others and because it might be the only way to get the attention of our management."
"No longer Fashionaire. Now it's North Loop Villas. Sign has yet to be posted and the correct address is 1407 not 1405. This is my 5th lease and 3rd property with this Mgmt company. I love this place! Remodeled! Super cool neighbors too! Good luck getting an apt here though. They go quick if anyone ever moves out!!"
