"Overall, I was not happy with my experience at Ella Parkside due to noise and security concerns. The 3 stars is because I liked the floorplan, gym access, and large common area for hosting things with my friends. If you live on the side facing Airport (02 to 06, I think) note that you will hear a lot of noise from dumpsters being emptied at 4 am, restaurant staff cleaning and moving stuff throughout the night, and people walking the path. The city also sent out a note stating plans to develop the empty parking lot at some point in the near future. The maintenance team was good at in-unit fixes but don't bother asking for anything at the property level. It took me 2 weeks to get the batteries changed in a smoke detector! Security was lacking; the garage gate and/or key fobs were broken for about 40% of the year that I lived here. My car window was smashed in and even after trying to escalate the issue, know that the property won't add security cameras and puts the emphasis on their drive-by overnight security team. I did not feel like there was a community here. The 2 resident events over the year were "over" by the time I arrived (an hour into a 3 hour pizza party) and folks seemed like reasonable people but no one really tries to get to know you."
"If you plan to live here, do NOT live on the first floor anywhere near the restaurant next door or trash bins. It’s extremely loud 3-4 days a week around 4am. I imagine moving into a unit closer inward could be less noisy, but lots of noise around most sides of the building, and no action taken from leasing office. Also just generally not well kept up premises. Really disappointed with this place and the lack of consideration for noise is ridiculous."
"I lived here for 4 years, when I originally moved in it was owned by Greystar and run exceptionally well. After it was sold, the service, safety and cleanliness started to deteriorate rapidly. By the time I moved out in August 2023 I had had a 4 runner grand theft auto’d out of the garage, another car broken into, there were homeless people sleeping on the couches in the lobby - total disaster. They do nothing about the thefts out of the garage, people had catalytic converters stolen, it’s the Wild West in there and all the criminals know it/prey on tenants. Super easy to get into the building without a fob. After all of that, they refused to give me back my security deposit and basically said “we don’t have any record of a security deposit”…. Even though I obviously needed one to move in. Would not wish this place on my worst enemy."
"I regret to say that my experience with this luxury apartment has been incredibly disappointing. Despite the exorbitant prices, the staff's passive-aggressive attitude and lack of responsiveness after signing the lease have been a constant source of frustration. The recurring car break-ins and perpetually broken gate only add to the growing list of grievances. The removal of the keypad code entry, especially when having to navigate it at night with a sleeping child, is not only inconvenient but raises concerns about safety. Unfortunately, when addressing these concerns with the office, their dismissive response and apparent lack of empathy leave much to be desired. It's disheartening when a luxury living experience falls short on both service and security fronts. The issues extend beyond the staff's indifference. The presence of wandering individuals in the complex, coupled with the perpetual state of broken doors, adds an unsettling layer to the living experience. The luxury apartment's failure to maintain a secure environment and promptly address security concerns amplifies the sense of frustration and disappointment. It's disconcerting when a supposedly upscale residence fails to uphold basic standards of safety and comfort."
"This apartment has devolved to the point of having homeless people living in the hallways. When we message the office about these issues, they don’t even bother to respond with any assurance they’re going to do anything. On top of the broken garage gate, constant car break-ins, and lack of communication from the office, this has pushed me over the edge to move out asap."
