"This place has been an awful experience with Pearl. On November 10 I put in an application for an appartment. I had asked her the qualifications to get in. She failed to disclose it all. She ended up getting a hold of me on November 15 and told me I was denied. She told me that the deposit would come back to me 3-5 business days. On November 27 I went up there to ask about my deposit since it was well past the date. Even with the holidays. While there I told her I still haven't received my deposit. I called the management company. She asked what they said. I told her that they are directing the complaint to her. She said that's what they are going to do and smirked about it. It is now November 29 and she has not been getting back to me. She keeps ignoring me. This is ridiculous and unprofessional."
"Yea thus far the staff is very pleasant, but it does not negate the fact that when we moved in this where are the moving pictures. There were dead cockroaches under the sink under the stove , behind fridge .. U know stuff that you normally don't look at at first glance. . I guess you can describe it as putting lipstick on a pig as you can tell the finishes in the apartment AR par to none. I was told that they would let the cleaning lady come back but I clean better than any cleaning lady ever could. Plus I am able to inspect every little inch as we go along. Now I am OCD, yet as you can tell by the chipped paint and the dirt left in the microwave that's just a basic standard. Now after we finished cleaning and the first night we tried to sleep we saw little bitty baby ones coming out from underneath the walls. I think you're not. I have never had to deal with a cockroach, when brought to Management's attention they at that point disclosed that there were Critters(vs when we signed the lease ang vaguely mentioning if there is and what to do..etc...) and that they could put us on a weekly occurring spray by The Pest Control...(notice verbiage, not exterminator because for legality purpose the cant guarantee extermination. Because they cant control how people live and therefore cant eliminate the"critters" but reduce the frequency of sightings you may have. )well i remeber telling them i as well as my partner would freak out if encountered. The next night we saw a big one crawl down the wall inn our bedroom and left us widely awake all night cleaning more. Look like tweakers in true fashion, walking the entire place looking for any black moving object. Jolting our head from side-to-side thinking that we saw and run across something. It got ridiculous. One day I came home and I saw a huge one flipped over on its back trying to get up right to run away... Oh my gosh I still am living here uncomfortably. Re-examining the lease and thinking about coming up with the $ $2,700 to break the lease and move on. I mean I have since seen sightings in the bathroom. four five baby ones coming out from underneath the wall all at once, at which point I think they're trying to attack me. Running along the counter.. sightings have been endless... Now I know I have missed two Mondays and they would probably rebuttal my point . With the fact i didn't let them in. .slept in, didn't want to get up, or just simply wasn't there, for the Exterminator (controller)to come in spray but as I stated at the beginning of the lease. That they cannot exterminate them anyway so sometimes I feel like what's the point of having being bothered every Week by the same narley guy, for no point. Maintenance said they were going to come by and fix the holes in the wall.. Which they still haven't. Or completed the base trim around the walls eliminating the space where they can get through. . Almost 2nd month and...ugh ...i dunno.. I'm researching where the duty and due diligence starts. and where my rights at as a tenant began. Who has obligation to provide a sanitary and livable enviornment. ?? And who has responsibility ,and under the confines of the law what is described as reasonable efforts, that legally, the apartments have to do that keeps the the tenants bound to their lease. Which if they ever fall below the line of standard set forth by the law, the tenant must send a certified letter explaining such.. But if your a current resident good luck!! And if you're thinking about moving here keep Rock'n right on by and don't stop."
"I have been here for about 2 years. They are the worst. I put in for my tub to be fixed months ago. New management has taken over so I put in for it to be fixed again and my tub is still in the same condition. When they have work they needs to be done in your personal space they don't give you a notice, you just wake up to someone on your balcony pressure washing your padded furniture, your children battery operated toys, etc. The only reason I resigned my lease after a year was bc I could find another apartment with an opening. If it wasn't so expensive to break my lease I would have been out of here."
"**Only rated 1 star because it would not allow 0 stars.** Poor customer service! Do not go here if you like honesty and the truth. Angie, the property manager, twists everything you say to shine herself in a positive light. My husband and I were lied to and told that the apartment we wanted to lease was a ground-floor unit, when in reality, it was a second-floor unit. After we realized this and spoke with Angie, we were promised that she would find a first floor apartment for us around the same move-in date. 10 days passed with no communication from their office regarding this matter, despite my husband and I calling multiple times and even stopping by in person. The day we stopped by in person, we were told that someone would call is in 4 days (on Friday) to let us know the final results. No one called. No one called until the day before our scheduled move-in date, to confirm that we were still planning to come at a certain time (which interfered with my work schedule (that I've known for 3 months) so I know that I would have never told them that we would come at that time). Lorenzo at the front desk had written down that we wanted to move-in a day early (which blew my mind, because I had spoken with her since the week before and she never returned my message, regarding if an apartment had become available on the first floor). All in all, a terrible experience that I would not wish upon anyone. The lies, deceit and bullshit that the Leasing Office spouts is ridiculous and exhausting to deal with."
"From the very first time, I tried to move in to Brookfield, the management company was horrible. They would not communicate, and were constantly moving things around without notifying me. After complaining 4 times, I finally got a straight move in date and a decent apartment. My stay there wasn't too bad. Well, then just about march. I was having problems with my shower. They wouldn't call out anyone besides their maintenance man to fix the problem. They were rude and could never solve the problem. I finally contacted a plumbing company on my own to resolve the issue. In May they gained a new management company, so hoping that when my son came to live with my in august it wouldn't be so bad to upgrade to a fully upgraded two bedroom. Well, that was wrong too. After moving my move in date 4 times, I was finally able to get 1 key to the apartment. The moment I got in there I didn't have an AC (no compressor or even wall unit), I thought hey they can get that done today. I continued to move stuff in. As I walked into the kitchen I noticed my dishwasher wasn't secured, my back splashed wasn't finished, paint had been slung around everywhere, and my kitchen faucet wasn't hooked up, and the new one wasn't installed. I was missing several safety things that took them over a week to complete and some still haven't been completed. I had plastic in place of glass in my child's bedroom. My bad door didn't have a lock, my front door still doesn't have a privacy lock or even a peep-hole, not to mention, my mailbox didn't even have a lock on it until last Saturday. I have found drugs in their laundry room, and they have had several break ins, and I've even witnessed a 3-month pregnant woman being chased by her husband who was trying to beat her. Lastly, they pushed and pushed to have my boyfriend put on the lease, after I constantly told them he won't be allowed on the lease. Finally I do it, to prove to them that he can't live there and that's why he's not staying there and they have then decided to try to evict me, because they think that having someone's mail forwarded to my apartment means he is living there. This place is ridiculous. They can't get anything figured out. I would never let my child be there. I should have never moved in, in the first place."
