"The rooms are nice and warm/cool depending on your preferences. The lounge is a little on the pricy side, but there is a lounge to kick back in and enjoy a few drinks. And checkout isn't until NOON, I mean that's unheard of! Most hotels want you out by 10, but not this location! Would definitely recommend."

"As navigators scoured the Seven Seas and shrunk the unknown stretches of the world, their sailors were known to eat their food in the dark bowels of the ship so as to prevent seeing the worms that infested their food during their voyages. Why am I giving you a history lesson? I would advise anyone with the misfortune of staying in this hotel to adopt the same principle as the esteemed navigators of old, as this hotel is far and away the dodgiest shanty I've ever lodged. The rooms are filthy, reek of trashy, off-Strip Vegas casino smoke (despite being allegedly non-smoking), and are even cohabited by cockroaches. Peeling wallpaper, missing tiles, mold, and faulty outlets line the interior, giving the hotel a "been around the block one too many times" kind of vibe. I've had a better breakfast at my grandmother's hospice facility, although the Texas-shaped waffles offer an unexpected novelty that makes you almost forget the wretched conditions of the rooms. The numerous positive reviews make me wonder if the reviewers actually stayed at the hotel, or if the reviewers have standards lower than the depths of the Mariana Trench. Two positives about this hotel: each time you exit the facility you will have a rejuvenated appreciation for the fresh air outside of the smoke-filled stank; and when you check out of the hotel you will sleep even more soundly in your own bed. The closer you look at the Wingate in Round Rock, the worse it gets. If you are so unfortunate as to stay at this hotel, I'd consider finding another one, sleeping in your car, or praying like you've never prayed before (if you don't believe in God, you will after managing to make it out of this place alive!)."

"We would like to reach out and thank this location for helping us with our turbulent reservations due to a family emergency. That said, there are/were a couple concerns. Staff did not know the differences between a double and queen bed which led to some difficulties and lost sleep. There is a dampness musty smell issue but easily resolved by keeping your AC on the dry setting the whole time you’re there. Breakfast was nice and overall were pleased with our visit."

"They totally messed up our reservation on a handicap accessible room plus no 2 queen size beds( we paid for but got two double beds. )We prepaid so I could have a handicap shower due to a physical injury& they didn't keep it for us ,the manger was extremely rude, disrespectful and didn't care about customer relationship. The manger put all the blame on our third party booking agent & basically called them liars because they didn't have a room like we book. I've used this booking agent 100s of times & never had this problem. Therefore the conclusion is manager is the liar ,& can't be trusted. I'm now stuck in a room with no way to clean myself or even get into the restroom on my own due to the damn threshold in the doorway. The restroom barely accommodates my wheelchair. We will never use this place again. If the company wants to keep their clients they better get new management. Don't stay here you'll regret it."

"I stayed here for one night for some time, and I had no issues at all. The staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating in every way. I booked my room through a 3rd party, which requires a refundable fee. My room was a king bed, and it was VERY SPACIOUS and comfortable. I slept like a baby. The only slight problem I had was the sight of some bugs, but nothing a shoe couldn't fix. My next "me time" trip I would definitely book a room again. My only regret is I forgot my bathing suit."
