"We recently transferred apartments and what could have been a very stressful move naturally was instead a very easy, painless process from securing the apartment we wanted to being able to move in quickly and have everything squared away with management. In terms of the building itself, I’ve lived here going on 3 years and can’t say enough about the location and cost per square footage when compared to other east side apartments. The apartments are super spacious and well maintained, I’ve never personally had a maintenance issue."
"Best kept secret on the east side. Every place has its problems -- especially when the front office has to act as the messenger for a tone-deaf corporate management. But the people on-site are wonderful and investments continue to improve the common spaces. So, unless you're going to be upset about a multi-decade Sunday gathering happening at the nearby blocks, you'll find yourself quite happy here."
"Lived here for 2 years with 3 different Management companies and don't recommend for the following reasons: -Units are not built to condo spec and you will 10/10 hear your neighbors, also, several units have had pipes freeze and burst whenever it freezes in Austin. A neighbor actually learned she had mold in her unit after hiring a third party company to come out and test. -Every Sunday afternoon is a very very loud car show with low rider cars doing donuts, blasting music and i've heard gone shots several times, The Weaver staff downplayed on my tour, but I recommend you go see it for yourself before renting. -Pool was weirdly heated in the summer of 2023 making it almost too hot to swim. Ironically, the pool has never been heated in the winter, not sure what the logic is. -Valet trash is mandatory, very strict with pickup times and the bin you use, and they charge you for bulk pickup as if you were throwing away tree branches or furniture. -Your deposit is almost guaranteed not to be returned, no one i know has ever gotten theirs back lol. I hired professional cleaners, touched up walls with paint and actually left the unit nicer than when I received it, yet Equity slapped enough random 'cleaning' fees to ensure no deposit was returned. Ironically when I was living there, someone else had the same thing happen and they comically posted flyers all over the weaver saying "weaver lies, you won't get your deposit back" Sadly I realize now, it's true, and its all a money grab for the apartment so check your move out statement with laser focus. -Community events are few and far between, for it being listed as "luxury living" I was thinking it would be more like other luxury spots in town with nice events, DJs, open bar, but events were pretty basic and felt more like awkward office parties than fun. -Lastly, the location is next to the lake which is nice but there's not a whole lot around the area though.. Most of the office spaces are empty and you're across the street from a retirement center. The nearest grocery store is Whole Foods which is a 20-25 min walk so not ideal if you dont have a car."
"Location is good but unfortunately ever since Equity the new management company took over, there is a lot of miscommunication and feels like you live at a college dorm rather than a "luxury apartment." Also, keep an eye out for junk and hidden fees on statements and when you move out. It's odd how monthly fees change and no one at the office could me a solid reason why. Their move out process almost guarantees you won't get your refund back.....something I didn't believe until it happened to me when they charged me 3x for valet trash and claimed it was back-dated. Loved the location but would consider somewhere else with more of a professional management team."
"Caring staff, beautiful complex, and phenomenal location. The Weaver is the best apartment complex in Austin right now. Its location is a perfect distance from downtown, the water, East 6th street and East Caesar Chavez. I've lived in various locations around Austin for the last year and can confidently say that The Weaver maintains so many of the benefits of apartment complexes while retaining the cozy feel of a suburban neighborhood. The staff, Prajakta specifically, were immensely flexible and caring during my entire moving process. It's an especially great place to live if you're aged 25-35 and even more so if you own a dog! :)"
