"The management at this complex is the worst I’ve ever encountered by a wide margin. We notified them verbally that we were moving out months in advance and visited the main office multiple times before moving out to discuss the move out plan. A few weeks after moving out, they hit us with a bill for thousands of dollars for not giving a written notice that we were moving out. Maybe provide some decent customer service and ask us to fill out a written acknowledgment form when we notify you verbally? Since we interacted with you many times before moving out? Nope, they intentionally withheld that conversation and hit us with a bill for 2 months rent, which they sent to collections when we tried to dispute it. Absolute disgusting lowlifes. Stay far away from this place."

Dawn was not only professional and knowledgeable but also incredibly friendly and welcoming. She took the time to show us around the complex, highlighting key features and answering all our questions with great detail and patience. "I have lived at village oaks for a year and a half. I absolutely love living here. The staff is amazing and has always done their best to accommodate me as a resident. The apartment manager Ben is wonderful. Last week, I needed to get my battery off and was having issues for over an hour getting the screws loose. Ben came out and spent over an hour of his time helping me get my battery off so I could get my car working. This place is a wonderful place to live with great staff. The management is top notch."

"I just don't understand why I have to deal with the second hand smoke of cigarettes and marijuana in my own apartment. The lease says this is a nonsmoking complex, but yet the manager acts as if he can't do anything about it because he "needs proof." I ended up having to call 911 the other day because I ended up having an asthma attack and couldn't breath due to all of the smoke that entered into my apartment from my neighbor above us. I have been complaining about this for months, but still nothing. I've asked for the filters to be changed, and I was told they were, but when you look at them, they are filthy. Only unless the continuous smoking is causing the a/c filters to get dirty very quickly. I can't wait to move out of here. I gave up on complaining about the roaches. I pay for pest control that doesn't even work. I am to the point that I am going to give up about going to management about the smoke congesting my apartment as well. But because this is effecting my health, I had to write a review about this. I don't know what else to do. I feel so helpless living here. Please don't try to reply and tell me to come into the office so that we can talk it out. I've done that already multiple of times. And when I finally send an email about it, you finally send an email out to everyone, instead of doing what you said you would do, which is put a note on the doors. Is anyone even reading the emails? I'm literally sick living here. I shouldn't have to go to the doctor for breathing problems that I am not even creating on my own. I am pretty sure this complex isn't going to pay for my medical expenses. It's heartbreaking and disappointing ... Sincerely, A Very Disappointed Tenant"

"If you are thinking about renting here, please RUN….if you are about to sign that lease, please do not do it, find somewhere else to rent. The leasing office associates (asides Cesar) are extremely unprofessional. We lived here for 18-Month, when we moved in, we observed that half of the floor in the living room and bed room was always warm, our initial thought was that the apartment was equipped with floor heating system and there should be a way to turn it on/off. We notified the leasing office about this and they told us that there’s no floor heating system. So why is our floor getting warm, they provided no solution or answer for it, they asked us to leave if we are not comfortable living there. We ended up spending more on electricity in the summer to keep our apartment cool. We literally lost our deposit, they charges us $200 for a bath top that was never clean when we moved in. The counter tops were never in good shape when we moved in and we pointed it out to them, then they charged us almost $200 to fix the counter tops. They are very fraudulent here, take your money elsewhere They charge you monthly for pest control and they never show up to apply pest control, and whenever you put in an order for pest control it takes between 1-2 weeks for them to show up. As someone rightly mentioned here, the apartments are not energy efficient. The ladies at the office are so rude, they lack empathy and emotional intelligence. I can go on and on, do you want to talk about incessant shutting off of water, cops patrolling the apartments. My 2 cents for you is that “TAKE YOUR MONEY TO ANOTHER APARTMENT, VILLAGE OAKS IS NOT WORTH IT”"
