"First of all, this place has a big roach problem. Roaches were there on the day I moved in, and they still reoccur. The other posts are no joke. Hot water is also always an issue no matter morning or night. Then this place has the audacity to charge me $150 to use the theater room when I already pay an amenity fee every month. If y'all were that down bad for money, why are you paying people to wash your garage floor? Biggest waste of money for something nobody cares about. Worse than student housing in West Campus and that's saying a lot"
"Edit: Management has replaced the maintenance staff that didn't speak English so now you can actually communicate concerns with them. They have also fixed the keyfob locks from the garage into the building. Original review below: To prospective residents: Think about this: This place is well-ish reviewed on google (currently 3.9), but if you average the most recent reviews for the last 4 months its a 2.0. Would you want to live in a 2 star complex because whatever it used to be it is a 2 star complex now * The locks for the doors on the exterior of the building are not functional leaving the doors unlocked at all times. * Car break-ins are common. I know of at least 2 since starting my stay here in October. This equates to almost 1 a month. * Staff at the leasing office are rarely there. If you need something, for instance to sign paperwork, you will likely have to come back several times. Due to the size of the building and frequency with which the leasing office is left un-staffed this could amount to hours of your time. * Poor communication from management has left people stuck with unnecessary bills. When management decided to power wash the garage (instead of attend to the security of the building) they poorly communicated which floors and when would be power washed; as a result, dozens of residents had their cars towed at the resident's expense. * Because much of the maintenance staff does not speak English, communicating your concerns to maintenance staff is difficult * Pipe bursts every winter due to poor building maintenance costing residents time and money. I've attached photos of some of the doors that are in complete disrepair. Keep in mind that these are just the doors. The locks for all exterior doors near the sub-shop do not lock."
"If I can give zero stars, I would. Where to even start? The building: old and broken. No AC in the sweltering Texas heat. Took almost a whole month to fix. The gym: 2/3 of their running machines don't even work. It's like pulling teeth to get anyone to fix it. If you do manage to snag the only working treadmill, watch out because it'll stop randomly while you're running so you have a chance to hurt yourself. The pool: looks nice. Too bad it's rarely even open. Closed for renovations. What are they renovating? No idea. The best part is their front office. I see at least 5 people who works there yet not a single person can help when you have a problem. They don't know what's going on or they just don't care. Either way, you're on your own. The issue that drove me to post this review is today they found a leak in a pipe so they shut off water for the whole apartment. Understandable of course, except its been 3 hrs and it's 8 pm, a time when people shower. But does the front office care? No. Is there any updates about this? Of course not. The front office gets off at 5 pm. After that, you can pray because that's just how it is. I swear, even squirrels can manage an apartment better than these incompetent idiots. Maybe instead of responding and rebutting all the one star reviews, they would actually do something to fix this dump. I'm leaving as soon as I can. Only redeeming feature are the maintenance guys who are responsive, kind and attentive so if I have to give a star, it would be to them."
"ROACH INFESTATION - DONT RENT #328 - SEE PHOTO AND VIDEO PROOF. Two years in this unit and 9 exterminations later, including 2 actisol treatments that fumigated my apartment and killed a $500 plant, here’s the bugs that I’m left with. Each sheet was left out less than one week and four were placed out at once, to give you a sense of volume. Roaches on the counters, in the dishwasher, everywhere, despite being incredibly clean (as you can see in the video) and NINE exterminations. No compensation from management, no assistance, unit is completely unlivable. Stay away. UPDATE: don't be fooled by the "response from owner" below - I've been in touch with the office and community director and the issue has repeatedly failed to be addressed adequately."
"I've called this place home for three years. The first year was fantastic, but there were some changes when a new community director arrived in the second year. At first, they did some wonderful upgrades like power washing the garage and sprucing up the hallways. However, in the last year, it seems like the management company, CWS, cut back on maintenance, causing structural issues in this 2016-built complex. Here are some things that concern me: * Most doors have been broken since October 2022, allowing unrestricted access. Security is a major issue. * Vehicle thefts due to frequent garage door malfunctions, left open for extended periods by management. * Pool malfunctions during hot Texas summers, taking weeks for maintenance to address, resulting in unhygienic conditions. * Widespread dog waste due to resident neglect and slow community maintenance. * Frequent pipe bursts causing flooding in various units, leading to displacements. * Consistent package theft due to inadequate security measures and neglect from the management. * Noise issues due to poor construction; thin ceilings make living with neighbors’ footsteps a constant disruption. Despite raising these concerns with regional managers Sonya Johnson and Heather Garvey in separate phone conversations, there was no substantial action, reflecting a concerning lack of ethics across all levels of this corporation. I strongly advise considering other properties not managed by CWS before renting here"
