"Edit: More breakins both in cars and property and now mailbox’s for a 3rd time. They send emails about how crime”isn’t just here” yet there are no security cameras in sight and areas are dark. The owners just do not care. The only helpful person in the front office is the guy with the beard. He is actually great and solves problems really fast and is on top of requests. Also the door that was broken is STILL broken. —- Look at the reviews. They’re representative of this complex… a mix of people from all parts of life who have had issues with this place from the garage to bug and mold infestation to responsiveness of staff to being forced to pay for a valet trash and delivery company to dirty hallways because you have to leave bags of garbage sitting in them. This is the Grey Star owned property experience. Look at the “luxury” hallway your guests will see. The broken door has been broken for a year and is referenced in other reviews."
"February 2024: daytime break-ins January 2024 update: my bike was stolen! Window smash and grabs are weekly occurrences now Why do these alarms keep going off every night? September 2023 update: my tires were stolen! Also you should know that the entry system to the building is only on your phone so if you’re out late and your phone dies, you’re locked out. 2022: The other tenants leave much to be desired. Not neighborly."
"I hate to write this because I love the location of these apartments but the quality and amenities are so bad. Something is literally always broken. Since I moved in March 2023, I’ve experienced multiple the doors just not locking and being accessible via the street with no security. The gate is constantly broken so cars and people can get right in. Trash piles up in the trash cans in the courtyards right next to peoples patios. I have literally gotten stuck in the elevator for 45 minutes in Texas heat (the elevators have no ac or heat) and had to call the fire department so they could pry open the doors. When I informed the leasing office, they were very nonchalant and pushed me off. Recently in the winter storm, I noticed how terrible the installation was in my corner unit. You could literally feel the cold area under the kitchen cabinets and in the pantry. And for the past THREE nights, the fire alarm has gone off randomly for the entire building between 1:30 am - 6:30 am. I called to complain and they just said “don’t worry you’re fine, you’re safe. We’re looking into it.” Then it happened again that same night. It feels exhausting living here because the leasing office never seems to have an answer for the numerous problems that arise in this building and they’re always so snappy when problems are presented as if it’s not literally the job they signed up for. Based on other reviews, I’m already prepping for when I move out to present them with the receipts for on time paid utilities and rent, move out cleaning, as well as carpet cleaning. I also took thorough pictures and documentation of all the damage already done to the apartment before I moved in. I recommend just looking for a different apartment; great location but not worth it."
