"I am amazed at the service and so grateful for these people...they helped me and went out of their way to accommodate me... and everyone is friendly and helpful every time I've been in the store. I cannot possibly give them enough stars...Highly Recommended!!!"
"Absolutely the worst experience. I left the store in tears. I went a few months ago to see what options were available for rollators and a couple other mobility devices at the suggestion of my doctor. I had already spoke with my insurance and was told that the two types of rollator I was looking at were covered. The woman I spoke with was incredibly rude. From my understanding she is the owner. She told me that she refused to bill insurance for an upright rollator which I was already told was covered, yet she said she would only take out of pocket payments for the that rollator. While that was frustrating, I told her I was still interested, but she didn't want to let me look at it even though I said I'd be willing to pay out of pocket. My partner mentioned looking at the scooters to me because my doctors have also discussed looking at getting one of those in the near future as my conditions are progressive. She overheard and said, "You will never get approved for one of those!" I tried to explain to her that I wasn't interested in one that day, but it had been discussed with my doctor as a possible need for the near future. She rolled her eyes at me and said, "You're too young. What's even wrong with you?! Did you get in an accident or something?" I was shocked that she could even ask that question and diminish the needs of a disabled person solely based on their age. I'm in my 30's for reference. She doesn't get to decide what my needs are, that is the job of my doctor and insurance company. Why she thought she was entitled to that information or to make that decision for me is absurd. She kept mentioning how I was "just using a cane" so I didn't need any of the things she offered. What she didn't realize was that that was one of the first days in a month I could actually get out and walk. Certain conditions are day to day and just because I could manage a small trip out of the house with a cane that day, doesn't mean that the next day would be the same. She also seemed to have no understanding of progressive conditions and that I would have needs for certain mobility and accessibility devices. The young sales girl who was trying to show me options apologized under her breath between interruptions for how rude her boss was being because she saw me tearing up. At that point my partner decided we should just go. We thanked the sales girl and walked out. Once we were outside I broke down right there. It's hard enough living with chronic, disabling conditions as a younger person. There's always a need to prove your disability to the people who think, "You're too young to have that many health issues!" or "You seem fine today, I don't understand why you can't do X thing." The place I shouldn't have to worry about that is a medical supply facility that specializes in devices made to increase accessibility and quality of life. It's hard enough trying to accept as a younger person that I need to use a mobility device without the criticism this store offered. The DME store I ended up working with even mentioned that they frequently have customers tell horror stories about this store. I highly suggest finding another DME store for whatever your needs may be. Please avoid this place at all costs. There are places that will treat you with respect and show compassion for whatever situation you may be in that requires mobility and accessibility devices."
"The absolute worst service I’ve ever experienced in ANY STORE! It’s like their goal is to NOT help you! My mother has MS and her insurance approved her getting a wheelchair and the women at this store act as if the cost of the wheelchair would be coming out of their pockets or something! I don’t understand! They also spoke to me in an accusatory tone like I was lying about my mother needing a wheelchair. Is the goal to provide medical supplies or no because I’m confused. They don’t ever have to worry about me stepping foot back in that store! I’m also a nurse and I’ve made sure I spread the word on their extremely poor service!!"
"I wish there was a NO star option!! I have called them on 2 different occasions and neither time have I felt like they wanted to put any type of effort into their job or to help me, the customer. So now I am looking on Amazon for what I need because Med Resources, in Alton, does not want to be bothered."
"I have never had such bad service in any store. It took 4 months to get my CPap machine and I've been waiting 7 months for a scooter. The doctors and insurance have helped me inquire about the hold ups so the problems are definitely with the store. The employees have no integrity. They lie. They lie. You can't speak to the same person twice."
