"Overall pretty quiet and safe apt in a good location. My biggest problems after 3 years of living here is the lack of communication, maintenance, and sense of urgency from the staff. It is almost impossible to get them to respond to multiple email follow ups or phone calls. Visiting the office to solve seemingly simple issues is the only way to get movement on getting anything addressed. (For instance, I’ve been trying to rent a garage for 3 months now and finally gave up as they stopped responding to multiple follow ups) I also wish the complex was maintained nicer such as cleaning of the hallways, speed bumps often crumbling/ falling apart, and the landscape is primarily maintained at the office (where potential new tenants are given their first impression) They could also do better at proactively communicating changes or emergency situations. There has been at least 3 instances where the water has been shut off for a whole day (both intentionally and unexpectedly) with no communication that it was happening or when it was expected to be turned back on."
"I've been living here for about 8 months and I wouldn't recommend it. The layout is nice, and the gals in the office are very sweet, but there are just too many bugs in the apartment (despite pest control). I'm a germaphobe so there's that. If you don't mind bugs in your kitchen, I would say this spot is great for the price! Update: There are way too many issues here. Power's been out, no running water, can't use the toilet (and no estimate on when water will be running again, lack of communication, etc), third world problems here and all they do is apologize. Apologizing doesn't help when you've been holding your bladder for 5+ hours and can't run to a local Starbucks because you WFH) They don't respond to your maintenance requests (despite many follow-ups), and I'm pretty sure I've been living with mold and getting sick here for the last few months. Terrible. I've lived in other apartment complexes in Austin and have never ran into so many issues. Definitely go elsewhere!"
"Worst apartment complex I stayed in over 20 years living in Austin this complex is so old that the electrical outlets are all worn out you can't even find a decent Outlet to plug a vacuum cleaner in the apartment has an old smell to it. There are a lot of maintenance issues and maintenance is hard to get hold of we had a water leak in our restroom with 3 in of water on call maintenance was notified and did not show up to the next day all the water had drained to the apartment below probably causing mold issues. They perform a lot of unannounced Inspections just to be nosy just to see what's going on in your apartment they claim they're doing a fire inspection but aren't checking your fire extinguishers or your sprinkler heads. And when it comes time for you to move out at the end of your lease they send all final bills to collections automatically they do not give you the option to settle all your trash amenities water Wastewater bills at the leasing office you have to go through a creditor and pay them and also pay charge and they will report you to the credit bureau. I highly advise to find another apartment complex and bypass the convenience the noise from McNeil Road with all the drag racing and the vandalism to cars is not worth it and the front office never answers the phone!"
"Been living here since June 2023 and the apartments are nice, fairly clean, and the neighbors are friendly. My only concern is management as it is difficult to get in contact with or at least get a hold of whenever there is an issue. Typically get late notifications of water shutoff or inspections and usually arrive one hour prior. I understand there is currently a change of management, yet I only found out after walking into the office instead of management notifiying us. Regardless can't get a hold of anyone."
"Staff is kind and professional. The pet washing room and gym do not have operating badge readers since I moved in. If you aren’t locked out of the gym it is because someone propped the door open, which makes the space uncomfortably hot. The renovations are nice but there are better apartments in the market for the same price if not less."
