"Update: It's been 2 years and all I can say is that it's unfortunate how the rent rates fluctuate so much. I was forced to leave because my rent renewal was almost 1800 for a 1 bedroom (A3). I just verified the site and they're advertising it for 1400. They could have retained me as a resident had they been better about rates overall. They have a lot of open units at the moment because people are leaving due to rent pricing. Cons: During the 2 years I lived here there were 3 separate instances where cars were vandalized (broken into through windows and had things stolen). The pool last year had a green slime and I have no idea what that was about, but the overall cleanliness of the pool area is never great. The grills were broken or very dirty despite my efforts to flag that and my water heater never worked properly in cold weather. Their response is that tankless water heaters don't heat up in cold weather (lots of residents reported this issue). In addition, the mail room was vandalized in 2023 and they were inoperable for some days until they installed a security door. The last time I was in the mail room someone's dog had peed in a corner and there was empty boxes. The dumpster is never in great shape, I pay for valet trash and they come late hours of the night and the actual dumpster area has old sofas, mattresses, and just crap people leave and it takes them time to clear up. It's unfortunate how much this community has changed. ____________________ Windsor Ridge is a great community and I really enjoy living here. I was able to make my apartment my own because their apartments are comfortable and modern. The property manager that I’ve been able to interact with (Terrah) has been amazing and super helpful. I had one maintenace request and William came right away and resolved my issue within the hour. Honestly, you don’t get this level of service in many apartment complexes. I highly recommend!"
"*Security issues* I hate to leave 1 star but honestly it's important for others to know that this community is not safe. I've been living here for 3 years and every year my car has been broken into - every single year! That's 3 times I've had to come out of pocket for repairs to my vehicle being parked at the residence I call home. I've done everything I can from locking doors, not leaving anything in my car, changing the location of my vehicle etc, but nonetheless my car continues to be vandalized. Make no mistake, it's not only my car but others throughout the property as well, both luxury and non luxury vehicles. There have also been additional break ins where my car was graciously spared, so I can safely say that there have been at least 5 break ins over the course of my stay here. With the rental rates as high as they are, you would expect a quality security patrol service but no, they are hardly ever patrolling the property let alone show up when you call for assistance. The cameras never seem to work or can get proof of the criminals, the property is easily accessible to homeless persons and non residents, and compiled with the lack of surveillance or security presence to safeguard the property, this apartment complex appears as a glaring "mark" for anyone looking to break into cars. While Shaneika (office) and Gabe (maintenance) do their best to keep residents comfortable, I believe that this type of crime will continue to happen. Keep in mind, this is not a bad part of town and is considered a luxury apartment, so having continuous car break ins is quite absurd and speaks to the lack of security and safety of this property. I'd write a review with the pros, such as the clubhouse amenity spaces, but honestly the cons of living here are outweighing the positive. I urge the company to do SOMETHING about the security issues."
"I thoroughly enjoyed my time living at Windsor Ridge apartments. Great units with awesome amenities and good-as-new facilities. Staff in the leasing office, especially Shanieka and Alette, were always so friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend living here for anyone looking to lease in the North Austin/Domain area!"
"I recently moved in and the location and the amenities are great. That’s why I chose this apartment in the first place. Within the first to two weeks of moving in, I had a few problems. The team/staff didn’t really seem to care to fix it after you sign the lease. First was we moved into an apartment with a leaking faucet. I contacted the front office and the maintenance team to fix, which they did. However it still leaks occasionally. The next big problem is one week of moving in, I see lots of cockroaches. I come home from work every night with a COCKROACH in the bathroom. There seems to be a new one everyday, despite me killing a new one every night. We find them on the wall, in the shower, on the bath mat. My boyfriend and I literally keep a hot shot and raid bottle (bug spray) in every room of the apartment. It’s getting ridiculous. Despite all the pest control, bug traps, bug spray we use they just keep coming. Within living here for two months, we’ve definitely killed more than 10. I don’t think we will be renewing our lease."
"The amenities (especially the pool and gym!), units, and staff (maintenance: William? is so nice and helpful) at Windsor Ridge are amazing -- I've lived here for over a year and all of these things have been great. I like the package system and the mail room and coffee machine. The biggest reason why I may not renew: Despite constant cleaning, calling pest control, and personal preventive measures for 5+ months, there are silverfish EVERYWHERE in my apartment. Maybe it's because I live on the bottom floor but I've never experienced a bug infestation in my life until now. Silverfish literally fall from the ceiling, appear between dishes in my cupboards, show up in the tub, in a closed container of rice -- one was walking INSIDE a piece of framed artwork. Another ran out from the smoke detector in the ceiling, fell out from a toilet paper roll, was hiding in a book, etc. the list goes on. It is terrifying and gross, but also frustrating because I love it here otherwise. Some smaller things are that cars seem to regularly get broken into, even in the garage. And the pet owners here regularly do not pick up after their dogs so sometimes it smells or there are droppings around walkways. If you end up not coming across these things, you could really enjoy living here. The worst part for me has definitely been the pest issue even though pest control comes often and maintenance really nicely installed a new door sweep to keep bugs out :-("
