Fairway Landings at Plum Creek

"I’m not sure why Fairway Landings has such bad reviews. My fiancé and I moved in august of 2023. One of the staff members Mayra was very helpful with our application process. The community is income restricted, so there’s a few extra steps but she was very helpful with explaining everything and keeping us updated. The unit was pristine and clean when we moved in. The carpet looked freshly installed and everything works properly. Maintenance has been very good about responding to issues promptly and professionally. It’s usually next day that they are inside addressing the issue. They’re very friendly folks. Our cooling AC went out in the beginning of winter and they installed a good quality window unit to hold us while they fixed the problem. I was scared they’d just leave us with the unit and not fix the AC but when I called they assured me they would get back to me whenever they were able to fix it. I didn’t believe them but two weeks later they called and actually updated me that it was being fixed. The community is pretty and we’ve never experienced any problems with the golf course next door. I will say our building has particularly problematic tenants. I’ve seen cops come out late at night several times due to domestic disturbances. It’s never made us feel unsafe people are just irresponsible and we can’t blame the office staff for that. Same with the dog poop issue others have mentioned in the reviews. The staff is constantly sending out reminders to tenants about picking up after their pets. People are just nasty and lazy and again the staff can’t possibly control every single irresponsible and inconsiderate person. But they’re trying and that’s more than we can say for other complexes. Personally we have enjoyed our time here and we have never had any issues with the office ladies. We can tell they’re trying to improve customer satisfaction and that they are aware of all the negative reviews. I think they deserve a good one because they’re really trying."

"We love this community ! It is very peaceful and quiet. It's always clean outside and always has parking. I love our unit and how spacious it is! We definitely plan to stay for some years! Edit to add: The office ladies are always nice when we call or come inside. Any time we have had any problem the staff took care of things really fast. When we first initially was applying and signing our lease, no one was ever rude or disrespectful in any way."

"Note im not angry with this review. Just sadden by the fact that people get treated this way. They can just raise your rent over 40% out of nowhere. They were rent controlled by income apartments. Guess they took that away without any form of notice. Hardly seems lawful really. Now they are driving out people. They laugh at making people homeless. This was my only option for housing. The office staff just brushed it off and said oh well. Not a finger lifted to see if there were any alternatives or options. The staff has never been helpful. They dont care and are just here to collect a check. Not to help the residents. There are countless issues here. Like the golfers breaking car windows. With no threat or worry about any consequence. Gates are broken 8 months out of the year. Laundry room shuts down for extended periods of time. Lots of people dont pick up after thier dogs. It's a shame that greed always wins and hard working people don't. Guess 60hrs a week isn't enough to live in low income anymore. For 17$ more a month there are nicer apartments in kyle. If you are going to pay what they are asking. Then go to the nicer friendlier apartments. I've accepted the poor hospitality will just get worse now that this review goes up. But they won't bat an eye at the reviews here. The auto response has nothing to do with the subjects on this review. More proof how much they do not care. This place is people's homes. Please take at least 5 mins to address the issues here. Not just hit auto respond. We are people."

"I went in to the office, on behalf of my aging aunt, just to get lease information, and the front desk staff, possibly a college student, was extraordinarily curt and seemed irritated and annoyed by our presence. I understand that everyone has tough days but her attitude was so off-putting that I decided not to keep this apartment as an option for my aunt. And, although the apartments appear to be well kept, from reading the other reviews, the attitude and actions of the staff detract significantly from property. Lastly, I understand that this is an income restricted property but if this is the reason for the staff's ill treatment of the residents (though there is no good reason to treat others poorly), then this unfair treatment should not be tolerated. The staff responses to these reviews are also concerning as they seem to be more of a template response and do not adequately address the concerns of the tenants, many of whose experiences with the staff are quite unsettling."
