"I'm a current resident at Skyline. In general, Skyline is aged but charming. The leasing office staff and maintenance people are great. This could be a 5 star review. However, the property management has a relationship with Spacemaker towing, which is extremely predatory and aggressive in their business practices and enforcement. I, and several other residents and guests, have had a number of negative experiences with them, and I would highly recommend using a more professional towing company. Edit: Changed after towing company change."
"My roommate and I moved out from Skyline two weeks ago. We received our move out statement received false charges for unreturned keys. We were informed several times in email that we were able to return our keys either by returning them to the office directly or leaving the keys on the kitchen counter. We opted to leave them on the counter because the leasing office was closed when we finished moving. I called the next morning to ensure they received the keys and to ask when we should get the move out statement. The staff member I spoke to assured me that they did collect the keys and they did a full walk through and we should receive the move out statement in a few days. We were very confused to see why we had a $500 charge for missing keys that we did return. We learned that we had to contact a separate department called former resident care to amend the charge. Between my roommate and I we have sent over four emails to this entity to have no response. We have called this former resident care number numerous times to be placed on hold for over 20 minutes and never have our calls answered. We were not getting any response from former resident care. I contacted the leasing office over email to see if they could amend the charges. I explained that we had returned the keys and another staff member confirmed we did return the keys. I received a response from Kelsey that we did not return pool keys. We never received pool keys. There is a code for the pool gate, no key. I informed Kelsey of this and I have not received a response. This was a week ago. I do not recommend moving here. I have read other recent google reviews that have shared the exact same experience of being wrongfully charged or simply not getting their security deposit back."
"I sadly didn’t end up living here because I decided to stay in Dallas but the girls in the office were so kind! They were very informative and helped out so much with every question I had! If moving to Austin worked out for me, I would’ve signed here immediately! I would highly recommend living here! The apartments are clean and the pool is really nice! My leasing agent was Isabelle and I just absolutely adored getting to chat it up while she showed me apartments. You can tell they really care about their residents!"
"The office leasing employees I've interacted with are fine, but they give off more of a sales rep vibe that must hit their quota than actual community management, but this review is NOT about them. Everyone I've interacted with in-person has been professional. When we moved out, our entire deposit was eaten up, nickel and diming us for everything, even charged us $150 because the doorframe had paint peeling from from a 3 inch by 10 inch space, claiming that it had to be replaced rather than simply being repainted. They also tried to charge us for several "services" AFTER we stopped living there including garbage, pest, and a renters liability fee and it was a hassle getting those removed. RPM Living (the corporation that owns the propery) demanded money from us before even providing an MoS and photos, and since their "Former Resident Team" is a completely different entity, there's a diffusion of responsibility. The FRS team took nearly a month to respond to our inquiries. I assume it's common practice to make sure former tenants don't get any of their money back. Oh, there's a little scuff on the wall no greater than 1 sq inch? Boom, that's $50. It's an okay area but the apartments themselves are at least 50 years old. Smoking is also allowed anywhere, so we regularly had cigarette butts on our porch because our upstairs neighbors were heavy smokers. Mold and insects/roaches are a problem. Overall, this is probably a more ideal place if you're in your 20's. RPM Living is a sketchy company and has an F rating by the Better Business Bureau. After this experience, I have a bad taste in my mouth regarding this company."
"I absolutely love it here! The staff is so amazing and welcoming. If you’re moving to Austin, this place is the place to be! It’s close to downtown and is right by Zilker Park. My stay here has been amazing and would fully recommend living here."
