"I wish I could give 0 stars for the horrible treatment my daughter received this morning. I made an appointment for my sick 17yr old daughter with Dr. Nieto who is not her regular pediatrician because her physician was booked. I was called by the practice manager and told that the physician was not comfortable seeing her and she should go to urgent care or see her OB for a fever and a sore throat. She said at her age she should really be seeing a family practice physician not a pediatrician. Also stated that she was late but couldn't say how late she was. I'm disgusted with this practice. I am an employee of Texas Children's and we have never turned away a sick child. I will never go back to this practice and would definitely not refer anyone to this practice after this experience. My daughter felt very uncomfortable and she said the front staff was very rude to her. My daughter left still sick and crying. How can you turn away a sick child? Everyone there at that practice should know better and do better."
"Dr. Garza is an outstanding doctor. I have 3 boys and expecting one on the way. I live over 40 min away and still choose to make the drive to get her care even though there is a TCP office 10 min from my home. If you are looking for someone who doesn’t dismiss your concerns, educates you and also communicates with the child, as busy as I know she must be she’s never made me feel rushed in an appt. Her NP is also very respectful and kind, I’ve always received a response same day with any concerns. The wait time in her office is little to non. My children have names most people can’t pronounce and just call them by their last name. They always make sure to call them by their first names which is a big deal for me."
"I wouldn’t take my kids anywhere else. Friendly staff and amazing doctors. Place is always clean and they give you all the time you need to ask questions, and give you time after shots to stay in the room and calm your kid down. They have a simple app to submit forms and online visits. 5 stars."
"I was told by Chinelo Flores that I ask too many questions and her job is to diagnose and treat a patient. I should have called or emailed to have my questions answered. She told me that I took away from her seeing a sick patient. I am a new mom, and my child (2 yrs old) had been feeling miserable for two days (a sick patient) and in her visit to the ER last night with her father the notes said to follow up with doctor. An appointment was unavailable today with her local doctor. I misunderstood what it meant where it read “follow up with doctor”. Flores made it very clear to me what that meant. If I had known that my concerns/questions were going to be an inconvenience or cause frustration I would had never made the drive. Flores in a unprofessional manner (tone) addressed me my concerns/questions as stated in the beginning of this text. I had seen her prior to this appointment and she comes off very strong, cold and dry. Regardless, I viewed this being part of her personality but after today’s appointment and in the manner in which she addressed my concerns/questions there is no excuse for behaving this way. There is no kindness or compassion towards myself or my sick child. I am not a doctor but I am a human, and other than a doctor diagnosing and treating a patient I believe they should posses certain character traits such as compassion and kindness when addressing a patient or parent. My suggestion to make this a better experience specifically for Flores, is to practice kindness in how you address a parent or patient."
"We absolutely love Dr. Carter Smith and Patrice! They are always SO kind, attentive, and thorough. All of our interactions have been no less than amazing. Especially as a first time parent, having a pediatrician you trust is absolutely vital."
