"My recent experience purchasing a new vehicle from Toyota of Muscatine was nothing short of exceptional. Two years ago, I started a search for a RAV4 Prime to replace my wife's aging 2008 RAV4. Understanding the high demand, limited production, and low Midwest allocation numbers of this vehicle, I anticipated a challenging process with many roadblocks and dealerships prioritizing past customers. Toyota of Muscatine quickly distinguished themselves form many other dealers I talked to. Jake, my initial contact, listened to our specific needs and desired features. He informed me they had not seen many RAV4 Primes yet, but they were charging MSRP (many other dealers within a few hours drive are charging $3k-$5k over MSRP still in 2024) even on this highly sought after model and not doing dealer required add ones. He remained proactive in keeping me informed over the following months during Toyota’s allocation process to dealers and would let me know right away when they had a RAV4 Prime allocated, even if they were not an exact match out our wish list. Recently Jake transitioned to the dealership's finance department, and he ensured a smooth handoff to a new salesperson, Donovan. In November 2023, our perseverance and patients was rewarded when Donovan reached out with the specs of a perfect match 2024 RAV4 Prime XSE in Blueprint. Donovan worked to quickly get my small deposit and secure the vehicle for me. He followed up with Jake to get a sales sheet prepared within a day showing the final sales numbers and options. While the delivery timeframe from Japan extended beyond their control, Donovan maintained exceptional communication during the 3 months it took the vehicle to arrive. Additional he not only honored my request to forego pre-delivery detailing of the vehicle (as I have my preferred detailer), but also facilitated the installation of a desired OEM hitch and wiring kit prior to our vehicle pickup. This showed a retuned trust that I was not going to bail on the deal and leave them with a vehicle with an additional $1,400 of OEM addons that most buyers would likely not be interested in. Jake and Donovan surpassed my expectations of a car dealership. Their dedication to keeping me top of mind for two years, coupled with exceptional customer service throughout the entire process, is a testament to their commitment to exceeding client needs. They prioritize my satisfaction of finding the perfect RAV4 Prime over a quick sale.
