Texas Children's Specialty Care Cy-Fair

"RED FLAG!!! Warning!!! I would give a ZERO stars if I could! I never knew how shady this place is. Without my consent they scheduled occupational therapy in the same appointment my child needed to see orthopedics. That “therapist” gave us a sheet of paper and we got the bill. We were also charged $180 for a room. Our insurance covers specialty visits, but this practice finds items to bill you for that are not covered by copays. There are plenty of orthopedic doctors in Houston. I will never ever return to Texas Children’s for any reason again."

"No doctors seem to be present, and the facility bills for hospital outpatient services for what should be a simple specialist visit. Look closely at the name on Google and their website versus the name on the building. On Google & the website the name is Texas Children's Specialty Care of Cy-Fair. No where does it state hospital. This is very deceitful as you are not made aware it's a hospital until you arrive and receive the bill afterwards. I have used Texas Children's for all of my child's needs. When my daughter fractured her foot we were instructed to see a specialist at this location for a follow up. I made an appointment to see the doctor at a not so convenient time, however I never once saw the doctor. We met with someone else who stated my daughter's foot was healing well, and there was no need to see the doctor. Had I known we would not be seeing the doctor I could have scheduled an afternoon appointment. The whole interaction was about maybe 5 minutes. I later received an invoice for outpatient services (not the specialist copay) for over $350! Be very careful using this location, and I would highly recommend to verify your insurance benefits beforehand. It is a money pit, and I never once saw any doctors during my visit."

"Cancelled my child's appointment the day of. Did not inform me even though they claimed they did. Drove 20 miles one way only to be told in office. Now my child has to sit in a gross cast for another week after it's been 4 already. They want 24 hr notice before you cancel an appointment but it doesn't pertain to them."
