"My first mistake was expecting to find good Mexican food in the small town of Galena Illinois. I already knew to not expect anything good here so we just ordered chips, salsa, and guacamole. The guacamole was actually good but the salsa had no taste like if they didn’t season it. Someone in our party got a frozen margarita and it tasted like a slushy. There was no way there was a single drop of tequila in that drink. It was incredibly over priced. I think our bill came to about $80 and that’s all we got. We ended up going to Dirty Gurt’s next door afterward."

"PRICES ARE SKY HIGH! Awful food they probably bought from the local gas station. Example: They sell ramen noodles (usually $1.25/pack at the store) that cost almost $10. Horrible service with a frown. Watered down drinks. DO NOT COME HERE!! I’ll be surprised if they’re still open in a year. We didn’t have cell service (this town is like that) so we couldn’t check the reviews. Had we did, we wouldn’t have eaten here. Edit: After 2 months of this review being live I expected the owners to respond, even if it was a ‘canned” response. Sadly they did not."

"Came to Galena for the first time with friends. We stopped in for drinks and a light appetizer. Restaurant had not been cleaned for a while. Every corner had storage of some sort. Service was slow. Chips were horrible. Our drinks were like colored snow cones with no flavor or alcohol. We tipped the server well since she was doing her best. We are not returning customers. Owners please read your reviews and make necessary changes."

"Three of us stopped in here for margaritas. Mine was a kiwi blended margarita and had no flavor at all! Tasted like a snow cone minus the syrup. Must have been VERY little Tequila in it...so watered down. My two sisters said the same about theirs. We left the drinks full, paid the bill, and left. WAIST OF TIME AND MONEY."

"This can barely be called food. I got charged $17 for these tacos with one slice of avocado. Highway robbery. Everyone in our party agreed the food was disgusting. Eat literally anywhere else. If you enjoy this place there’s something seriously wrong with you. Gross."
