Welcome home to Soap Factory Apartments! Located at 500 North Santa Rosa Street in San Antonio, Texas, our community offers a variety of studio, one, two, and three bedroom apartments with spacious living areas perfect for relaxing or entertaining. Renovations are underway for both the interior and exterior of our building, as well as our amenities. Enjoy our two swimming pools and clubhouse located inside the historic Menger Soap Works building along the San Pedro Creek. Additional amenities include door-to-door trash valet, on-site laundry facilities, off-street parking, and a fully-renovated fitness center. "I’m disabled and I WAS Actually thinking about this apartment complex, but apparently it was built Before 1990 and the staff claims that they don’t have to even bother to provide wheelchair access to their property. So they basically believe that they are “better than someone who is disabled because they’re “grandfathered” in so they don’t want someone’s money if they’re DISABLED!! How about that!!??? Entitled MUCH?? Just pray that they don’t become disabled and DISCRIMINATED AGAINST!! What a shame and Really Pathetic!! Do Better!"
"Well you get what you pay for. The rent is pretty cheap for the location it's on, and its pretty small. It' not that bad if you don't have any friends or family to come visit you. They will have to pay to come and visit due to parking rules. Been here for a few months and my car got stolen already. Had a rental while that happened and rental got towed do to website issues. Everyone keeps it to themself so that's a good thing. If something is wrong in your unit they are quick to fix it and that is because you will see the charge in your rent. Once my contract is up I will be looking for another spot and I hope ending the contract is not that bad cause I read you have to give a 2 month notice in order for you to leave without breaking the contract and Im guessing I might have to pay when that happens."
"My daughter was living at these apartments and they turned out to be the worse in the end. My daughters AC broke down, she had to wait for at least a month for maintenance to get the part they needed. Mind you during this time it was hot outside, she had to stay with us for a while. Finally her AC was fixed, after a couple of weeks she noticed black spots on the wall. MOLD was growing on the walls, probably in the walls and the mold destroyed her mattress. My daughter is a young college student and a waitress, she doesn't have a lot of money to purchase a bed frame, her mattress was on the floor, the mold was on the wall, went all the way down to the floor and ruined her mattress. My husband and I went to the office to speak to a manager about the situation. The assistant manager was the worst! Attitude all around, I was not happy and I was not putting up with it. Called corporate and sent pictures, and an email of the situation. Did not hear back from anyone, finally the property manager reached out, we responded by email but did not hear back from her at all. My daughter could not live in a mold infested apartment, she decided to leave, she had one month left of rent. NOW they want their money for the one month!! We are seeking legal help on this situation. This place is cheap but whoever is the owner of the property is not aware of the incompetent managers running the property."
"Do NOT move here unless you don't mind ROACHES! SO GROSS!! My friend lives here and my family and I spend a lot of time visiting him so we have become very familiar with the apartment complex. The buildings are very old and basically rotting. When it rains the window in his living room leaks so bad there are always giant puddles on the window sill soaking anything you might have sitting there. The rent prices are good from what I hear. However, the roach infestation is TERRIBLE. So many different kinds of roaches currently infest the apartment. The roaches are not scared of you they will crawl ALL OVER YOU. The complex charges my friend, the tenant, $30 every month for pest control and have only had his apartment treated twice in 6+ months. For that amount every month you would think they did a better job at providing a service they charge for monthly! Fraudulent. Even when the pest control guy came to treat the apartment my friend, the tenant , said he saw more bugs than ever before after they sprayed. Nobody deserves to have to worry about an infestation especially if they are paying for the complex to take care of it! Not sure how the office people are as it is not my apartment but the maintenance personnel we have run into are very very nice. They take good care of the pool which we have enjoyed once with our friend who lives here and was impressed by how clean it was. There is access to two laundry rooms on the property which I thought was pretty cool and convenient for the tenants."
