"I see a lot of good reviews. Apparently none of them stayed in room 135. We checked in late so it was dark in the room. There was a light switch immediately to your left as you walk in. It did not turn on the light, just a fan. I had to take my phone flashlight and make my way to the bathroom to turn on a light. The night lights next to the bed were visibly broken and did not work. No offense to old people, but the room had old people smell. It was very dusty. The pillows smelled like someone else’s shampoo or conditioner. It definitely smelled like hair product. This made me wonder when the last time pillow cases or sheets were changed. The handles on the shower door seem to have been purposely taken off. The water temperature was warm at best. I had left my home in a rush and failed to bring my body wash or shampoo. I did not think it a big deal to use the supplied products. The body wash was diluted with water and it seemed like the shampoo and conditioner were diluted as well. I’ve never felt so unclean after a shower. I turned the AC on and it sounded like an idling car when it was on. This was a nuisance when trying to fall asleep. Later in the night I was woken by what sounded like someone trying to open the door to the room. I checked and no one was at the door. This Startled me out of my sleep several times before I realized it was the refrigerator every time the compressor turned on. The next morning I went to get coffee around 7:15 am. After adding cream to the coffee, I took a sip to find it was less than warm. I was supposed to be here for 2 nights. Instead I dumped my less than warm coffee and packed my bags. I checked out immediately. I’ve stayed at many hotels and motels in my life. Never at a Marriott. I thought they were too fancy for me. Not this one. I’ve stayed at road side motels with more comfortable rooms. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were cheap. I know to never stay at a Marriott again. Definitely overpriced and overrated. Motel Quality at Hotel Price."
"Good hotel for a good price. Rooms were nice, clean, and comfortable. No dingy smells. The coffee in the breakfast area was actually a nice dark roast, which can be tough to find at the average hotel. The breakfast staff was friendly and helpful. Will stay there again."
"Outdated facility and needs attention. The breakfast and coffee are by far the worst I've ever had at any Marriott hotel. Never got my Marriott Points added for my last 2 stays and there's always something wrong."
"I had stayed here about 7 years ago. On the plus side the location is great!! It is on the trolley path. The rooms itself have seen better days.. the bed wasn't very comfortable and the broken window panel didn't prevent the sun from coming through in the morning. The room is spacious and comes with a mini fridge, desk and sofa bed. The breakfast was a disappointment.. no oatmeal, and they ran out of eggs by 830am. They had some dry French toast and sausage links, yogures, Milk and some individually wrapped pastries. The coffee was essentially coffee flavored water."
"I was surprised at how outdated this hotel is. The entrance doors were sticking and do not lock during night hours, and the staff had to ask a frequent bum to leave the lobby; they were trying to sleep overnight in the lobby. 1/2 elevators was down and 2 was doing its own thing. The printer doesn't print from the computers and the rain was dripping through the window sill. There was also The breakfast buffet was wonderful. From fresh eggs, sausage links, oatmeal with a toppings bar to fresh fruit, bagels, cereal, yogurt, danishes, OJ, apple juice, cranberry juice, milk and organic chocolate milk. They did a wonderful job with the breakfast buffet. You would think for the nightly rates (pricy) charged that the interior standards would match the pricing."
