"Now that I’ve been charged my final move out fees I can finally leave a review after a 12 month lease. (As a young 24 year old male) For starters it’s easier to say what’s to like vs what there's not to like. The location of the apartment is really convenient for the most part . Not too far from downtown but not too close. It’s rather quiet here and a lot of elderly people so no crime to worry about for the most part. However this apartment has an abundance of issues, starting with PARKING. The parking lot is so tiny , I work late nights and sometimes get home at 4am and there isn’t any parking ever . They give us parking passes but they don’t enforce them. Half the cars that park here don’t have a pass making it hard for people that do have one to park . They hire the most janky contractors to do work at the property as well. Towards the end of my lease they hired contractors to re do the stair cases and the amount of times I saw one of them urinating behind our dumpster was outrageous.When I first moved in they hired someone to come install fiber optic internet and it was the most unprofessional and tacky job. They had wires hanging from the ceilings under the parking ports , tucked into trash bags and they sat there forever. The gates stay breaking and they take their sweet time getting them repaired so you can only come in on main st. The dumpsters are tiny and always over flowing which leads to my biggest issue which caused me to definitely non renew . There were roaches everywhere, the second you walk outside they greet you right on your door step. Never once did I see management do anything to address this. No pest control , or anything. Luckily I kept my home clean and sprayed so they wouldn’t come inside my home. (Not to say that it never happened) there are also rats in the parking lot. There arent plug-ins for your own washer and dryer so you have to share a wash room that they of course charge you for (anything for a dollar I guess)and if I remember correctly there’s maybe 7 washers and dryers in the wash room.. Lastly they don’t use keys to enter your unit. It’s a passcode entry which for me is a safer concern if I needed to get into my house I’m a timely manner. Basically this apartment is dirty , management isn’t that great as I’m sure they see these issues and have yet to address them. There are better options don’t let the location be your selling point . Currently moved to the rim and love it here ."
"I had a 10 month lease and one thing I’ll say is staff and maintenance are incredible. For the most part it’s a quiet complex, and the dog park is very clean. The only reason I decided not to renew is it’s not the place for you if you have toddlers. There are no in-unit washers which makes dealing with littles ones with a stomach bug at 2am pretty difficult. Other than that I would say it’s in a great part of town, and neighbors were polite. I can’t speak enough about how above and beyond the staff goes for the tenants."
"We love it here! It's the first time we've ever renewed a lease. Maintenance is on it ASAP if needed, and I see them taking care of things around the complex often. Office staff is great and quick to help. Super grateful for the pet policy here. Getting things delivered is a little complicated sometimes, but that is no fault of French Place or Venterra."
