"This has been probably the worst place I've been. Maintenance portal and office phones are down for weeks at a time. There are roaches, black mold, and door lock doesn't work half the time. Me and my three roommates are trying to get out of this lease as soon as possible. Don't rent here. Update: Even though management has changed there is still issues with maintenance and overcharging with rent and utilities. I have had to move in with my girlfriend and just pay rent while living in a one bedroom apt. and have not been living in my own apartment for months. I am paying 950 dollars a month to not live in my own space. I will not be renewing my lease."
"There are many things that I could say about the old owners of UC Denton, but I won't considering that we now have new management. My experience so far with the new management is that they are helpful and have begun fixing many of the problems that the old management would either leave or take forever to fix. They are helpful, friendly, and responsive anytime I have a question or concern. The package-pick-up system is safer now than it was before (it used to be practically unmonitored and now requires ID). There have also been a lot more events than before, which is also nice. So far, so good!"
"UC Denton is very misleading. my roommates and I have had a numerous of things happen here in the span of 4 months on the year lease… 1. when we first moved in here our utility closet was moldy with black mold and then it seemed to be pieces of the wall swept into the closet that was just left there (they never did anything about the black mold) 2. our heater broke resulting into smoke coming out of the vents causing our apartment to almost go down in flames along with the rest of the building and they fixed it for us. But they gave us heaters to use while it was out and then asked for them back… 3. there’s been numerous times when maintenance just showed up and we didnt receive a email about it so they were just in our space without our knowledge in the beginning, later on we started to get emails about it. 4. The renovation part before you move in that they claim to do is not any type of renovation, like at all. A lot of things didn’t work when we moved in like our tub, our sinks was leaking at the pipes making water go all over the floor while we used it and my roommates door still doesn’t lock. But they would know that because they do “renovations”. 5. also management has changed a good amount of time since we’ve been here, so that says a lot. If you’re a college student looking for housing beware because it is not good quality for the price here. I cringe every time i see people in the leasing office looking for somewhere to stay."
"Constant office closures, the printer doesn't work, i've been to the pool like twice this summer due to the lock ALWAYS being on the gate because the "pool is closed for maintenance", the exercise equipment is not maintained and are currently out of order, the list goes on. My apartment was not cleaned before I moved in and had a flood the month before that I was not informed of by the office, but instead by the girl who was living here already(and i've heard from her that they handled the housing situation horribly during this process). This is a sad excuse for an apartment complex especially for the amount of money you will be paying them, so take this as your warning."
