Willow Ridge Apartments

"This was the worst apartment I have ever had the extreme displeasure of renting. Roaches coming out of the walls from day one. “Pest control” was a joke. It took numerous emails, 3 months of management gaslighting me then saying they need to physically do a walkthrough. All to just get a dishwasher I noted did not work on my move in papers replaced. Very loud music all hours of the day and night and a pervasive ongoing smell of marajuana inside/ outside and from surrounding apartments so strong my closet, bedroom and bathroom reeked. My elderly dogs and I were attacked multiple times by a constantly leash-less pit bull owned by someone living at the apartment but not on any lease. I had to call animal control several times, file reports and start taking pepper spray (ended up having to use it twice) out with me due to the office taking no action. Animal control kept telling me the complex should be handling that as per the lease is is an aggressive restricted breed but nope.. just more gaslighting. During my last complaint to Corina the office manager, I was told it’s none of my business if the owner was on the lease or passed a background check and the non legal resident had rights etc. what about my rights too? I actually paid to live there. The dumpster stank; was always overflowing, stray cats pooped in my potted plants and I had no electrical outlet covers upon move in. There are orange utility power cords running around the outside of the building exposed. They shut off water for any freeze warning and there is almost no water pressure. I also have deep concerns about the water quality as it had a slight color and objectionable flavor. This place was so unlivable I moved before the end of my lease and paid rent at two apartments for two months rather than stay there any longer or spend any holiday there. I had to call the office because I found my upstairs neighbor peeing off his balcony one morning. I also experienced constant allergy and breathing issues while living there and all the windows and doors leaked. My utility bill was outrageous every month and there was dog feces not picked up and covering every single grassy area that wasn’t already covered in trash. Half the time I couldn’t even use the walkways due to residents taking shopping carts for the nearby winco and just leaving them Everywhere. Multiple calls to the office regarding this were ignored and not addressed. Over all not fit to house animals much less people. Seriously I’ve seen cleaner and better maintained barns. Update to follow with more info if I don’t receive my deposit back.Last update, So the office ended up keeping $86 of my deposit and refused to give me an itemized bill, never been refused one before. Especially part of a deposit is being kept for repair/ replace items or make ready. I’ve been renting at different properties for years since college, and have never seen such a poorly managed property or negligent property owners."
