"I saw the Goddess Janelle Monae and it was phenomenal!!! So many encores! Plus she bought people on stage and went into the audience. I love everything about her music, message, positivity, love and it was all at a great venue as long as the weather is good. Arrive early to find parking the Capitol parking garage which charges a $20 event parking fee. Or further away if you want to walk. Arrive early enough and you can walk to Schultz Bier Garten for a pretzel and a beer before. Which I did and it was amazing."
"The employees here are not knowledgeable about simple things they should be aware of when working concerts. Be sure you speak to mgmnt if workers tried to tell you other information then you were given. We had VIP, and they made us go to the front of the venue to wait and enter. Even after the information I rcvd regarding vip stated the titos entrance. Because of poor management and poor communication, my child was not able to experience their 1st VIP (what we paid for). Employees giving us incorrect information also blamed it on the other company in charge of VIP and said they always give people incorrect information. So just double-check and question the information the venue employees tell you! Other than that, Section 103 was perfect to see the stage since this venue does not have screens.l for those way in the back."
"Beautiful venue with attention to connecting with nature and the environment. Excellent sound, stage size, and stage location. Lacking is shade areas so folks are huddling in the corners trying to get cool in the shade. Very very lacking is the encouragement to stay hydrated but only one drinking fountain for 5k capacity venue. There really should be a water filling station."
"I really enjoyed this venue. It is small but comfortable in my opinion. The general admission lawn was comfortable and had decent views and a bar tent right by it. Bathrooms were easy to access and the sound was great. The only thing I didn’t love was how picky they are about items you can bring in. The attendant at the front told me my towel was too big and I explained that I had measured it but he argued with me. I was right in the end and they let me in with it but I saw many people turned away by that guy and they were probably fine."
"We went here for the Austin Blues Festival and enjoyed the venue very much. I think it is a new facility and the first concert/ outdoor event here. Overall, I was impressed, but there is some work to streamline everything. Most people opted for the GA tickets where you could bring a blanket and sit in the grass. This is what we did, and it worked out well. Not a lot of shade covering, so hot days would be pretty rough. I would recommend different vendors for food items as there was only a BBQ place, which was ok. Nothing too special, but some more options would be good. Beer was overpriced, but everyone should be used to that in a concert venue. Maybe add some water refill stations like the airport so you don't need to buy $5 bottles of water each time? Bathrooms were clean and laid out well. I would come here again for a cool festival if the weather is good. Smaller venue with a more intimate vibe."
