Pecan Creek on McKinney Apartments

"I drove thru the apartment complex to visit my friends and to try and rent an apartment. The grounds were very dirty, trash was all in the yard and the trash bins were over-full. There was a lot of children playing in the street and they were unsupervised. The children were rummaging thru the trash and running around with trash and throwing it onto the grounds. I had to stop my car because the kids were in the middle of the street and wouldn't move. The kids appeared to be from 3yrs old to 10yrs old. I continued driving around to see which building would be best to try and rent an apartment. As I was looking around, there was a group of boys that looked from age 16 to 19. They were in a walkway with their pants hanging down, smoking, cursing and saying rude remarks as I walked by. The walkway also had a bunch of trash by the doors. The pool was closed and I did not see an exercise room or laundry room. I did not see any security guards. This complex could use security guards to write up the kids and give warnings of eviction to their parents for not supervising their children, vandalism, theft, noise control, loitering, under age smoking and drinking."

"It's okay to live here. Bigger apartment, which is nice, staff are really nice and helpful each time I have conversed with them. When I call for maintenance issues they'll come within the next day, I believe that's a good response time. However, there was certain time period where maintenance I had to fix a few issues, I just preferred to be notified by e-mail and be notified a week or at least 2-3 days prior when they're going to come in. I just like to be in attendance if they're going to come in my place. Just a warning for those out there looking for a place: this apartment complex is family oriented meaning lots of children around, so it will get noisy which I really don't mind there being so much noise since I knew it was going to be like this. So just letting you know, it will get noisy here."

"For the amount we’re charged for rent, you would think they would have good maintenance. It feels like every week, something in my apartment spoils. Either my air conditioner doesn’t work, or my pipes won’t work. Last time, our apartment had problems, and it took them two months to fix it. I am not saying you guys are not doing your best, but this is just ridiculous and agitating because I’m complaining every month. These problems make my light bill high, especially the air conditioning problems."

"Came to view an apartment during a pretty packed day and I had the best customer service experience ever. It was so busy but I was definitely made to feel important. The office and property was clean. The leasing agent was very attentive and I got to meet the manager. She was very helpful and kind. I didn’t qualify but they still helped point me in the right direction. The apartments were spacious and the residents seem nice."
