"Man I’m so happy I had Jermaine the maintenance man came by to fix my lights. He was fast and very professional. I love the direction this property has taken to fix long overdue problems. Thanks you Jermaine"
"Worst place I’ve ever lived by far, coats of paint covered over everything! And literally everything, bathtub, power outlets, light switches. And the water doesn’t get hot when it’s freezing outside. My boyfriend and i have talked to them and they come up with excuse after excuse, a winter storm is coming soon and they expect us to have no hot water and possibly no power, don’t let the cheap rent fool you DO NOT LIVE HERE."
"Amanda and Jasmine have been extremely helpful .I keep having problems but I don't think I'll have problems from now on . They have been the only two to get this taken care of and quite honestly DSA student housing is very lucky to have them as employees !! Thank you,,Mark Yarbrough Vintage Pads Apt.239"
"This is by far the most unprofessional and UNSAFE apartment complex I’ve ever lived at and I have lived at many. Just because it’s cheap do not fall into their trap. I came into my apartment with several damages which are still not fixed after living here for 5 months. When I got a roommate I had no knowledge of her moving in nor her name or any information about her. I just saw on my ring camera that someone was opening my door with a key. No roommate matching at all not even an attempt. My roommate was allergic to my dog and they wouldn.’t even let her get another unit after NOT TELLING HER that I had a dog…. Today some random couple came to my apartment and did the same thing. Opened my door and everything. I never get any warning and it’s a huge safety violation to let random people have a key to my house. They claimed it was a mistake and that they were trying to tour my apartment …. Which is occupied and without my knowledge Aka trespassing. Now a random couple has a key to my house and there isn’t anything they will do about it :-). Another thing is the staff here SUCKS literally horrible human beings that do not care if we live or die. I had no AC for 2 months in the dead of a Texas summer I literally called and emailed the manager 5 times. They only fixed it when I went in to their office and told them it was an unsafe living condition (bare minimum.) if you want something fixed here or bare minimum safety in regards to your locks… forget about it. I recommend living literally any where other than dsa if you want to save 100s of dollars on safety precautions which is what I’ve had to do… cameras, extra locks, safety blocks, pepper spray, etc. this place isn’t safe especially if you are a woman or female presenting !!! Also Take my word for it it’s worth the extra 100-200 dollars a month to find a place that isn’t a hell hole and actually have peace of mind. Also when I moved in my dishwasher wasn’t hooked up at all. The hot water in my sink was leaking terribly and I had to use a Gatorade bottle to drain the water to keep black MOLD from forming. While I’ve live here my water has been shut off at least 5 times without warning in the middle of the day… no showering no drinking water and no cooking for several hours I’m talking 4-5 hours until it’s fixed. Also my electricity has been shut off without warning at least twice. Meaning no ac :) this place is so unreliable and it’s honestly laughable how scatter brained the entire staff is when it comes to fixing any of these issues. I cannot wait until my lease is over I am counting down my days left here."
"Most recent review is right, since they got new management (Valiant) in mid 2022 they repainted the apartments for seemingly no reason without warning (the paint is cracking already). Took down the vintage pads sign to replace it, only to change their minds and put up the same sign. They enforce very strange and strict parking permit rules (even though the lots are regularly not even half full and homeless people dumpster dive at night right near all our cars) first enforcing a sticker change with 2 weeks notice and then a virtual sticker change not even a month later, again with 2 weeks notice. And maintenance will cancel all work orders unless you agree they can enter at any hour they like, they will not even attempt to work or listen to you. And the most frustrating thing is that hot water will turn off very frequently, and I have not lived here for an extended period. Rent will be raised soon, so I don't have to worry about staying here much longer. Also the whole building shares 1 washer and 1 dryer that you still have to pay for rendering them pretty much useless."
