Reviews
"Quiet complex. No smoking. No dogs. Cat's OK. Big open floor plan. Clean...clean...clean apartments. THE BAD REVIEW were either from people who didn't live at the complex so I suspect they are fake reviews from competitors. The one bad review was from a student who didn't get her $300 deposit back because she left the apartment a mess and it took more to repaint and fix the damage done than her deposit!"
"I lived in the Lux Apartment complex in 2020, and my experience was less than ideal. On the positive side, the rent was affordable, and the location was convenient, being close to campus. I also appreciated that there were minimal pest issues during my stay, and all kitchen appliances worked without any problems. However, communication with the landlord was lacking, and I never received my security deposit back despite being told I would. My roommate had the same issue. I never received an itemized list of possible damages that would have caused them to keep it; all communication stopped once the key was returned. I reached out several times through email, phone, voicemail, and text, but to no avail. The carpets in the apartment were not cleaned properly, sticky, and wet upon move-in day, making it unpleasant to walk on them barefoot throughout my stay. The air conditioning system had limitations and could not be set below 76 degrees without freezing. The AC actually flooded into the apartment below us, forcing us to turn it off for several days in August. The bathtub was initially clogged with hair(as pictured), making it drain slowly after showers. The parking lot was limited and damaged. The windows had "privacy screens", reducing the light/heat that entered the apartment assuming to help the AC. The neighbors were loud and disruptive. I remember the police knocking on my door several times to ask about incidents that happened nearby. While the Lux Apartment complex may be a good option for college students since it's affordable and close to campus, potential tenants should be made aware that the security deposit policy is not in line with what is stated in the lease agreement. The communication with the landlord was poor, and the quality of the apartment was ok. Tenants should be aware of these drawbacks before deciding to live there."
"If I could give a one star I would. No maintenance requests were ever completed except one and that took almost three months to get fixed. You will not get your security deposit back and she will not answer. Think again before you rent here. Great price but you get what you pay for."
"Good apartment, HORRIBLE landlord. I've lived at this apartment for 9 months and can honestly say that in that time NOTHING I'VE ASKED TO BE FIXED HAS BEEN FIXED. First, when I moved in, the landlord Michelle said she'd quickly fix a broken microwave, but after months of texts, emails and calls, she's done nothing. Now, we've had light fixtures break and issues with the toilet that no matter how many times you reach out to Michelle, she will not fix. If you're thinking of renting here, move on DON'T RENT HERE."
"Don't rent here. The landlords have no idea what they are doing and will take weeks to respond. I only lived there for a year and had at least 5 major maintenance calls due to the horrible quality of the apartment. Once the plumbing broke and they took 17 hours to respond and the water was heavily poring our during that time. The AC broke so many times we just expected to live in 90 degrees after a while. If they ever do try to fix something in your apartment and you are not there Michelle will call you 6 times at work, leave you voice-mail about how you are a lazy little girl for sleeping in and text you non stop. All because the handy man didn't know how to open a door. Currently I am trying to get my deposit back and they keep avoiding the subject. I moved out June 1st and it is currently September 18th. Please don't rent here, they are clueless at best and malicious at worst."
