"We've lived in this place for just over 4 years and have watched it go from bad to worse with every new owner and manager. The latest guy told us to clear off our balcony but no one else had to do it and there are loads of balconies with junk and decorations that don't fit the new rules. Why just us? He plays favorites and lets some tenants do whatever they want. Too many dogs and poop. No monitoring on the weekends. All hell breaks loose on Saturday evening and Sunday. We sent a letter about barking noise to the manager but dog just barks and barks because of rude owner who doesn't care about anyone else. Terrible run place. New mgrs rules are a JOKE. And he has friends among the tenants who get away with anything. But we got a warning! Also the gates don't secure anything and the pool is filthy. No one could swim in it last summer. Someone here wrote about mold and cracks. Amen to that! When we reported black mold the maintnance guys just sealed the vents with cauking! Dangerous and dishonest. Windows are not sealed because of shifting of building and we hear everything from outside. Outside temps are the temps we have in our bedroom. NO ONE CARES about iimproving anything around here. They just keep raising the rent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Run."
"I signed a lease in September of last year with high hopes. However, after experiencing ongoing health problems this year we discovered our unit was saturated in black mold. I was forced to move out early and pay for a new lease to avoid deteriorating health issues. I had already paid Canopy’s month rent. As you can imagine, this has been an unfortunate experience. I reached out via phone and email multiple times and days before hearing anything. A mold test was completed by Pur360 and I received a call from the office that everything was ok and I “had nothing to worry about” (even though I have seen the mold). I asked to see the test results myself and the leasing manager refused to share the results. I was repeatedly told that there was no way that could not be done. If the test was negative, I would assume sharing the test would be no issue. This is a violation of ethics and has been a complete burden physically , emotionally, and financially. I do not recommend living here."
"This place sucks. There have been so many problems and I haven’t even been here for a year. the day we moved in there was a huge puddle under the kitchen sink in the cabinet, as well as a huge hole in the wall in our bathroom. There’s black mold on the walls and along the windows. We have had maintenance come and look at everything and they keep saying, “we’ll get to it.”, “oh there’s no leak.”, or “we’ll order parts for that.” Which they never do, and for the past 6 months we’ve lived here we just routinely clean the puddle from under the sink. I recently got a car and tried to register it on our complex’s system so I wouldn’t be towed. I wasn’t able to because our old tenant didn’t sign out of the unit’s account. I notified the office and they said they’d figure it out. It wasn’t even a month before I walked out one morning to go to work and my car was missing. They towed my car and wanted to charge me around $200 for it….when I literally live here. It’s not my fault the old tenant didn’t sign out. I notified them of the problem and it was never fixed. That can’t possibly fall to me. This evening a little after 5 I came home from work seeing a guy pouring paint from the back of his van. Looked like someone was moving in downstairs and the unit was being worked on. I walk into my apartment and am immediately hit with strong paint fumes because of it. There was no notice or anything. We’ve been airing the place out ever since and it’s still bad. We contacted the office about it and they claim there’s been no work on any of the apartments in the building….what? Us and our neighbor can smell it….we saw the paint with our eyes. I don’t even know what we’re expected to do with that info. Someone else mentioned this in their review but the new management is so outta pocket with their new fees and rules. They barely give you any notice."
"This place went so incredibly downhill after they sold the property and underwent new management. This was a great place to live until then. First the head of maintenance quit, so they just dismantled the entire maintenance team because of that, so if something breaks, you are just screwed. The new manager micromanages every single thing tenants do, he constantly sends out passive aggressive texts to the tenants every day for 3 days to pay our rent on time even before it’s due. They have shut off the water multiple times without notifying tenants, and it stayed off until 10:30 PM at one point. He emailed us all and gave us frankly ridiculous patio rules, saying that we are not allowed to have things like bicycles, any decor hanging on the posts, CHILDREN’S TOYS, no colored lights (what about the holidays?) and want to control how many plants we can and can’t have on our porch. Management then proceeded to spring a “patio inspection” on tenants when people did not listen to these absurd “rules” that aren’t even on our lease agreement. We are not allowed to keep our trashcans on our porch or outside our door for the trash valet, and tenants got threatened with a $75 fine per trash bag if they are left before or after hours when the trash valet comes, in which they very often will just not get our trash sometimes for no reason. This place is falling apart, my walls shift and have several massive cracks and the doors to rooms don’t even shut right due to the foundation shifting constantly, our windows are not sealed off properly and it stays hot in our place during the summer and the AC cannot ever cool it down below 76° and will run up your electric bill, and the windows grow dark mold during the winter. This place is a dump and to enforce these “rules” is honestly absurd when the property is not even taken care of, and to blame the tenants’ decor on their patio for this place looking terrible is so wrong. Not to mention we were treated so poorly and talked down to when a friend’s car got towed, and threatened with eviction when our friend was rightfully in tears and simply asking what tow lot to go to find their car at. Do not ever rent here."
"The maintenance and this community sucks, I have no idea why we chose to come to this place. Nobody works properly. The people in the leasing office have mastered the way of talking and always say that the issues will be sorted asap but nothing happens. For Indians or any student who is coming in the next semester or next year. Do not choose this community, it sucks big time."
