The Veranda

"You know back when I first moved here. We had a good staff in the office, people's had to make sure they pick up dog poop, the staff was concerned about our safety, they answered the phones,they were very professional, they had good personality, they walked the property, they took care of things they needed to and there were not a lost of un-nessary emails and most of all they listen to the residents. All these things are not happening anymore. I don't know why but for the last two years it have been really bad out here. I moved in another apartment out here 4 months ago and I hate I did because there is so much dog poop everywhere, trash is everywhere, so many people's staying with other people's, our halls always trashed out, elevators always broke, people's disturbing other people's all time of night, kids destroy things, so many people's smoking weed that u smell it in ur house everyday of the week, and drug dealers living here with so much traffic going on that I fear for my life now. I did talked to the police because they are the only ones we can turn to at this point. Cause nobody else seems to care out here. But the maintenance people's that tries to help when they can. You really have to becareful who you talk to in the office instead of helping you, you'll be talked about or laugh at. Some of them don't seems to take these things seriously. I tried calling the corporate office but nobody will return your call. So that means they don't care as well they are only interested about the money. But being a disable person I do have two more options I can go through. Until the owners can changed this place maybe by starting with some of the people's in the office I wouldn't recommend no one to move here. Especially disable and civilized people's. I'm am really scared to come out of my apartment everyday because I never know what might happen. I open the door one day and all I could here was a woman screaming and I had no clue of what was going on all I could do was take the stairs and called the police. My first thought was a drug deal gone wrong. That goes to show you just how scared I was. Not knowing what was happening and I didn't stick around to find out I called my daughter and got the he'll away from here. Now my blood pressure is always up, my nerves are bad,and I can't sleep at night here at all no more. I normally goes over to my daughter's them house now for a goodnight sleep. It use to be real quite over here but not anymore this hall stays so busy every hour on the hour. And I feel it's just not safe here anymore. We should not be afraid to live in our own house. I gave this place a two star's because at least the maintenance people's does their jobs. I am hoping that things will change out here for the better. I went to the office today which is Wednesday 1/17/24 and it's closed what for I have no ideal. It's bad enough they are closed on Thursday so I guess their taking Wednesday to. I don't need no more emails saying to leave ur water running cause I will not be leaving my water running because of the bad weather cause ya'll are not going to help us pay that water bill. I can care less about the pipes freezing. Ya'll don't help us so why should we help ya'll. Plus it is not in my lease to leaving my water running due to bad weather and wine up paying a high water bill my water already goes up a dollar every single month for what I have no ideal. I believing in helping other that don't mind help you. These apartments is not worth me paying a high water bill every month. Now ya'll can put it in next year lease to leave ur water running do to bad weather but hopefully I want be living in these anymore. Maybe if everybody would treat ya'll the way ya'll treat us. It might be a good thing."

"I’m going to keep updating this review for every issue I have with this complex. -Called me while I was at work to let me know that my pet needed to be put away due to a maintenance request (request put in two weeks before they showed up to finally address my issue) I was not notify any maintenance person would arrive that day. -Towed my guest’s car, unable to contact the security who supposedly works the whole night, 6 am when we noticed it was gone. -Uncleanliness of the property, dog poop everywhere, filthy stairwells and hallways. -Charged a pet fee, despite given documentation for my pet being an ESA animal. Approved by doctor and registered. -"

"The Veranda is the most HORRIBLE place to stay, the staff are all liars and act like children whom just got their first job! ADRIANA, DISOLA and Shante are TWO FACED LIARS!"

"A little girl is missing tonight at the veranda apartmenthat's. She has blonde hair and is 8 years old. It's almost 9 o'clock. Her mom's been looking for for over an hour, so have many other people. There's a lot of police on-site right now, so we just have to pray that she is safe."

"It is definitely hard getting someone on the phone so I would suggest going to the office if you can. I stopped by on two different Saturdays and they are usually busy getting tenants moved in, which is a good sign. I've been to the office twice and both times I had pleasant experience. I did a tour just last weekend and the apartment was nice a bit small but a great apartment. The property is well put together and gated. A resident stopped me and gave me her "two cents" on the property and she didn't have anything bad to say. This is a "income restricted" property so you do have to meet a certain criteria. I have completed the 2nd part of the paperwork process and it was long but the leasing agent Adrianna was really patient. The first leasing agent I met the weekend before was very professional as well. I can't remember her name so I'll call her "Ms. O." . I haven't received a response yet in regards to an approval but either way I think this is a really nice property for the price. Again, if you call and don't get an answer just go to the property."
