"Great location and great staff. Really enjoy the vibe too... definitely worth a look if you're in need of an apartment."
"When I moved in 2 years ago, I did a "self guided tour" of an apartment that ended up being a completely different layout than what they put me in. My first lease renewal went up $100 and this year it went up an additional $150. They have started requiring us to pay for their insurance program (which doesn't protect anything if yours, only $100,000 liability) even if you have a verified policy of your own. Last summer the pool was closed all summer, and the Amazon Hub fee doesn't mean your packages still won't be left out in the open. Really, the one good thing I can say is that our maintenance man is very kind, courteous, and helpful. Unfortunately, dealing with the office staff, you get a feeling that you're more of an annoyance to them than someone who's paying them your money. They very rarely respond to your inquiries online or your voicemails, and you have to go into the office for them to still not fix issues. We've never had a lease violation or been late on the rent, and I'm very disappointed in the way we've been treated the past year."
"If you plan on living here expect to pay $1,000+ on move out because tenants are expected to pay for these units as if they own them, and get everything in writing because they will go back on their word. I thought we had a good relationship with management...I was wrong. Lesson learned. We lived in this apartment complex for a total of 5 years. Our first apartment was no problem. We moved from an upstairs unit to a downstairs. We were told the deposit would be moved as well. Fast forward 4 years. We had asked multiple times to have help cleaning the carpets as we had lived there for 4 years with pets and the carpet had not been replaced when we moved in. I told her we didn't mind going halves or taking off of rent to deep clean the apartment, but I do not feel like tenants should pay 100% for this on a unit that is rented. We were told the matter would be looked into, but we never heard back about anything. The tub was always backing up and maintenance was asked repeatedly to come clean it up but we never saw them. A few weeks after move out we were slapped with a $1200 dollar bill for "cleaning expenses". When I tried to get with April about this they could not find record of our first deposit and since she had nothing in writing about maintenance requests we were responsible for these charges. I reminded her we had tried to get help cleaning the carpets and as we had pets the carpets were going to be replaced anyway, but she "did not remember having a conversation with us about that". I have always had pets and took care they didn't mess up the carpet to much and have never had to pay to replace the carpet. I explained to her that the tub was always backing up and it didn't need to be resurfaced because I personally had to clean that myself while living there and was able to clean it up with a little bit of elbow grease. Tenants are expected to pay for 100% of the deep cleaning of a unit they do not own and then pay for replacing of the carpet and the resurfacing of the tub at move out. There is 0 communication, maintenance and management take forever to get anything done if they get it done at all, and they have horrible attitudes and customer service. We were good tenants that took care of our apartment, cleaned up after our animals, and always paid rent on time. I cleaned up that apartment at move out like I have many times before. I do not take kindly to being charged like we are filthy people who left that apartment with $1200 dollars worth of cleaning expenses. Edit: We still have not been contacted after the generic review response from College Park. Just another example of lack of customer service and follow through."
"We just moved in in the middle of July. So far these apartments have met and exceeded my expectations. I have the one bedroom upgraded, and it is so nice! I thought it was going to be really small, but to my surprise, it is actually pretty spacious. It's very quiet and my neighbors seem nice. We have had an issue already with the AC and it was fixed within a couple of hours. The maintenance person and people in the office are very kind and welcoming. The grounds are well kept and nice. There's no trash laying about and we haven't seen or heard of any disturbances. I would definitely recommend these apartments! #ILoveCollegePark"
"It was hard to get myself to even give this place one star. There was a lot that went wrong this year- the attached pictures show many (not all) of the damages that were present before I even moved in. One of which was a leak on the ceiling of the shower. The entire ceiling was sagging and the water leaked into the shower. It took about three work order requests (a week or so) for them to come and fix this problem which was a health hazard. Not long after moving in, I also noticed a frequency of mattresses that other residents had put in the dumpster, it was almost a weekly thing. My neighbor informed me this was due to bedbugs - which she had also had because of the apartments. Despite my best efforts, the bedbugs made their way into my room in early spring. I had brought in all new furniture, yet the apartment management claimed that I did not have enough evidence to prove the bedbugs came from their complex. After my wife and I had disassembled the bed frame and moved the mattress and box spring (both of which had protective coverings around them- which we had to replace with new ones costing us $115) slept in the living room for about a month. We had to wash all of our clothes twice to ensure the bedbugs had not gotten into the clothes (costing us a total of about $150). We ended up throwing out our brand new bed frame since it had gotten so infested. For treatment options, the complex could bring an exterminator in to spray the room- an option that they would not guarantee to work. They conveniently did not communicate that this would cost us $300 until they already started treatments. On top of all of this, the exterminator could not even get into our room because the apartment office had lost their key, asking if I had changed the lock- which I hadn't. I had to give them my key so they could do the treatments on the bedbugs that they were responsible for. Living here was such a nightmare, I do not recommend this place."
