"Honestly, the individuals from GVA Management that I’ve communicated with have always listened to me and cooperate with me to get any issues resolved. Yes, people might have bad experiences with management but maybe it’s because they don’t communicate with them enough or clearly on their issues. I love my apartment resaca view. I do have a reserved parking space because I got tired in my first few years of having to park so far. Luckily, they started implementing reserved spaces for $50. Which is fair for a whole month’s parking space. I am only rating a 4 out of 5 because I wish they could remodel the inside my apartment and do a carpet replacement, and re-paint my apt with the new modern color they are adding to the apartments. All of the interiors of the apts look different here, which I love. Not all apartments have the new modern look, so I don’t feel too bad about it. Oh and also a 4/5 for thin walls. I have been here for 5 years. There have been lots of changes in ownership and management. GVA management are current owners and they are always available to remediate any issue or situation you may have. I am fully aware that other apartment complexes might not provide you with the same management cooperation and support. Rent and utilities are separate but you can pay it all together on your ledger, so you don’t have to worry of having to make payments to different outlets. They always communicate when water, or something, needs to be shut off for repairs. I think people here mainly have an issue with the parking lot or maybe a bad encounter with one of the staff. I’ve dealt with that too, but there are options to not have to repeatedly deal with such issues."
"The hot water has not been working for close to 5 days already due to gas leak - maintenance has been “on it” everyday but there hasn’t been anyone around the leak from what I’ve seen. There is a potential freeze going on and they’re lying and saying they’re doing everything they can to restore this - MIND YOU WE PAY FOR OUR WATER BILL AND THEY STILL HAVENT RESTORED HOT WATER- what happens if the power goes out too? Then we can’t even hest up our own water with our electrical appliances"
"GVA is the WORST property manager I have ever dealt with. I live in Towne East in Brownsville and the office is completely clueless. The inconsistency with this management company is pathetic. If you put a maintain request online, it will NOT get done. We were promised if we renewed our lease our doors would be replaced with new doors, that was over 6 months ago and the manager hasn’t made any attempts to fix it. Our gate outside is rotten and fell off and instead of replacing it, they just put it back up. Sometimes they email us, sometimes they just put a paper on the door. What if that paper gets lost? Stay as far away from This company. Will not renew and will advocate to others to not do business with GVA. Good luck getting a hold of them either!"
"I lived in the same apartment for many years but lately who ever took over seems to not give a damn about affordable rent. They raised the rent to ridiculous prices and do not bother to get things fixed on a timely manner. Here are some pics of what some tenants have to deal with. Raw sewage with feces n toilet paper all over 1400 area apts n parking lot... water leaks galore, mold infestation. If u rent 1402 or any of the 1400's good luck."
"I would like to share my experience here. After not even a month of living here my vehicle was towed. NO NOTICE! If you are considering leasing here I would seriously reconsider. There is no assigned parking spaces (unless you pay $50.) Which by the way there is never any parking, you would have to be parking on a whole different block. That is, if there is even anything available. Once I realized my vehicle had been towed. I went to the office to find out where it had been towed. Front desk seemed to be annoyed a lot of rolling of the eyes and rude. Made a comment about me always parking back there so that means that they knew it was my vehicle before towing it. So they literally towed their own residents vehicle. Bad business!!! This is how you treat your residents? Totally different from when they are trying to fish you in. FAKE"
