"Our 1st stay traveling thru area & won’t be our last. What a pleasure to stay at the newer, very clean welcoming hotel! My request for a top floor away from elevator & ice was honored. Beds were comfortable, sheets & towels very soft. Refrig, microwave, coffee maker in room. Breakfast hot foods:3 kinds of crumbled eggs-(1) with bacon, (1) with maybe chorizo, and other plain. Fried eggs, refried beans offered too + individually wrapped tortillas. Multiple sauces available + shredded cheese. Bowl with fresh cut up fruit, 3 kinds of whole fruit in another bowl, oatmeal & hot chocolate packets & breads, couissants, waffle machine, yogurts & more. The only negative comment was the room television. You had to watch movies on freevee or connect to the TV with your own subscriptions."

"We have stayed here many times with our dogs. It’s been 15 years of driving back and forth Canada to Mexico. It’s been a pleasure to stay here. Clean. Well managed. Friendly. Good to the pets. They care about their guests. The happy hour is a nice touch. Worth the price."

"Front desk workers are awesome, friendly, and know how to do their job. On the other hand, BE AWARE WITH HOUSEKEEPING !!! If you left something behind in the room (electronics ), it is more likely that you will not get it back they take what does not belong to them"

"The wifi is not as fast as I was told it would be, with speed tests beteen 34 and 53Mbps (not the 60 I was told), but its been adequate for working over a VPN. Be aware that the pool is outside and unheated, it is essentially unusable. The hot tub is also outside and its cold at night, even though its south Texas its in the 40s. Aside from those concerns, the front desk was very helpful, and the room is clean, breakfast is good. The salsas or peppers can be very spicy. This hotel is close to some of the best bird watching in the US. It is 11 minutes to Resaca De La Palma State Park, which currently has a Gray-collared Becard, Rose-throated Becard, Roadside Hawk, Tropical Parula, and 320 other species. And its 12 minutes from Oliveira Park which has a Red-crowned Parrot roost."

"Paper thin walls and floors. I can hear the guy next to me having a conversation on the phone over the volume level on his TV. Funky smells in the hallways and rooms Rusty lamps Stained tile grout everywhere including the shower floors. Decided to wear flip flops in the shower because it was so gross. Gross craftsmanship on the remodel, whenever that was. . Highway noises are loud on the east side of the building. Would not book again."
