"This place is awesome!! I'm here with family and it's so peaceful. In full spring and summer it would be even more beautiful, but the trees are budding, grass beginning to green up, and, oh, the TX mountains! There is lots to do on property - the river, the pool, BBQ-ing in the pavilion, swinging on the swing set, and huge areas to play outdoor games. Then there's hiking at Garner State Park and Lost Maples State Natural Area. The TX farmhouse itself and bunkhouse are comfortable and spacious, and nicely decorated but not fancy. I've heard about the River House for years, and it exceeded all my expectations!"

"I would rate this cabin and location 5/5. This is perfect place to relax with your family and friends. Inside: Kitchen is fully loaded, spacious, clean with window facing swings, pool and open space outside. Rooms are of perfect size, well arranged, full of Texan style (or touch) furniture. we really liked it Outside: 1st thing - you can watch deer family right out side the cabin/house. Front patio is very big, easy access and private steps that leads to river, Kayak, floating tubes etc options available. Lots of big trees, outside fire pit, beautiful location. I would recommend this place with highest rating. We had super good and memorable experience there..."

"Excellent location It deserves 5/5 nice accommodation of 20+ people, easy access to river , beautiful porch, amazing riverside covered barbecue pit with refrigerator, interior house very neat clean and with full service kitchen, microwave and refrigerator. Ideal for big group of 25 people with kid’s swings, kayak and tubes , covered car parking and can watch deers in the front yard. I highly recommend this place for everyone."

"Great times with old friends at a new favorite river spot. Very relaxing vacation. The river was crystal clear and cool during the August heat. We enjoyed having unlimited access to the private pool and pavilion. Plenty of room in the main house and the teenagers loved having the Bunkhouse. The whole group is already looking forward to our next trip here!"

"So peaceful! Lots of room for friends and family. Clean, good beds, big outdoor dining pavilion, comfortable house, bunkhouse and wide grassy yard stretching down to the river front. Mornings we had coffee on the front porch watching the hummingbirds and butterflies. As the day warmed up we'd swing and swim in the river or small pool. After dinner, we made s'mores at the campfire as deer came into the yard. Magical!"
