"November 1st through November 5th. Our time at the off grid house was great. The solitude was 2nd to none. The wife and I stargazed and watched the sun come up each morning. We would sit outside and listen to the quiet until the ravens spoke their minds. The house itself was lovely. We, not being used to off grid living, only had two dislikes. The shower would not keep a constant temperature and the composting toilet. Would we stay here again? Yes. Every rental has its quirks but for us, the solitude made up for it. I'm posting a short video with some pictures of the surrounding area. Again, our time there deserves a return trip. Thanks"
"We stayed with our two dogs for 3 nights at this off-the-grid beautiful house. The surroundings are absolutely breath-taking, especially during the sunset and in the morning. At night is a little scary, since you're in the middle of nowhere, however, this is offset by the gorgeous view of the night sky, which you can easily explore using your naked eye or a telescope. The 2-floor house is absolutely amazing, very open and well-lighted, with two porches in the front and the back, the electricity being produced by a small wind mill and solar panels. I have to say that there was an issue with the shower water taking a long time to warm up, and when it did it only lasted for 2 min after which it would get cold again. This aspect DEFINITELY needs improvement because on one hand we wanted to save water but then we had to let the water run for like 10 minutes so we can enjoy 2 minutes of warmth. I will give our experience a 5-star still since it was overall great! We will definitely return!"
"Great views! Cozy and relaxing! Relatively quiet other than random noises from some the neighbors surrounding the home (sound travels in the desert), and the ever churning wind mill. Toilet was a nightmare! seemed like it wasted more water than what it was supposed to save. Multiple flushes required. Shower water heater was either scalding hot for a few seconds and then it would go freezing cold. I guess in a way it forced you to conserve water via physical discomfort. Props for going green but toilet and heater were a deal breaker."
"Comfortable cabins good WIFI, wildlife and secluded. Bad rabbit cafe is in the ranch and serves up pretty good food all day. They have their own laundry building with coin operated washers and dryers. There are no TVs in the cabins. But if your creative and must have TV, their WIFI could support streaming. We really enjoyed our stay!!!"
"Incredible gateaway. Great views, amazing night sky"
