"For us out-of-towners, this was a perfect way to spend a chilly afternoon! If you live nearby, you’re very lucky. The Egyptian exhibits were amazing…could have spent most of the day reading all the information and viewing what was on display. Other areas feature local artists and Latin American and Asian collections. They had an armor exhibition which we unfortunately didn’t have time for. Loved how they repurposed the Lone Star brewery building. Really enjoyable!"
"I try never to miss this wonderful gem when I'm in town. Fantastic collection of art from many eras and geographies. A really nice Latin American art collection, and I particularly liked their modern selections. The floor with Texas art was also enjoyable. I appreciated that there were many female artists featured in all the exhibits. Also fun to walk up the river a bit and see the F.I.S.H. installation under the highway overpass."
"School field trip, 24 students for an art project. The Museum has a lot of range from ancient to modern art. Latin America to Egypt. Next time I want to explore the paintings more. Amazing exhibits. And it's the historic Lonestar brewery building. Just amazing"
"We are not normally museum people but we spent hours there. They had an incredible collection of so many different things. We really enjoyed their large collections of Japanese, Chinese, Oceanic, Greek and Roman artifacts. I was expecting a little more from Texas but otherwise would highly recommend as a must-see when visiting San Antonio"
"This was a lot better than I expected. Children 12 and under are free. I loved the Egypt and Greek area. But they had many interesting areas. Also much bigger inside than it looked on the outside. Parking was only about 5 bucks right across the street. We went on a Saturday around 130 and there was plenty of parking."
