"A beautiful natural area, the trails are well marked and maintained. I would caution MTB riders, the upper dantes trails are extremely rocky, I was cursing the rocks by the end of my ride back then the car! You're looking at about an hour and a half for an 8 mile ride due to rocks."
"A pretty and well kept trail but it is hard to enjoy the nature when all you can hear are constant gunshots from the range right next door. There is a warning about wildlife like wild hogs, don't take that lightly. There are absolutely wild hogs and we made a quick exit after coming across a few."
"When walking the trail on the parking side of the road, trees mostly shade you. A lake was on one side and a field and then the truck factory was on the other. A snake crossed in front of us. We think it was a rat snake. The lake was full of egrets. Before getting to the trailhead, on Pleasanton Rd 2 fox crossed in front of us. The 1st was a white with black tipped ears and tail the second, smaller and tan and gray, yipped and then ran across the road in front of a van. Thankfully it made it safely. The trail across the road meanders up and down past creeks and more trees. Very pleasant, no pun intended."
