"UPDATE: While I've enjoyed the staff and doctors at this office, I'm not very happy with their cancellation policy. The day before my 1pm appointment, I developed a 103F fever and tested positive for covid19. I called their office around 4:30pm right after testing and left a message requesting to cancel the next days appointment due to symptomatic covid. The next day I received a few phone calls from their office at 7:30am while I was sleeping, someone left a message asking if I'd like to change the appointment to a telemed visit. I didn't check my messages for a few days due to being ill. I ended up being charged a $50 fee since I called and canceled at 21 hours instead of 24 hours before the appointment. While I understand and support having a cancellation policy, I also think there should be some exceptions. Just had my first appointment with this clinic today. It was a great experience. The staff appeared to offer awesome support for the providers, allowing the providers to spend extra time with patients. Dr. Sunny was absolutely perfect. Kind and compassionate with attention to detail. The only issue I had was the clinic requirement for a referral although my health insurance itself does not require referrals. But then again, maybe this prevents a lot of excessive and pointless appointments which allows better quality for patients who do need to be seen by this specialty. Very happy with the quality care this clinic provides."
"If zero stars was an option I would choose that. I have tried numerous times to call for a prescription refill. They will not answer the phone or return messages left at various voice mailboxes. The pharmacy has cancelled refill requests twice because they can't get a call back or response from them either. I am moving my care back to my primary physician that referred me to TBE 3 years ago. The service was fine in the beginning but the past year has been terrible. It's not the doctors or PAs, its the management and operations management. They hide behind a phone system that insulates them from their clients. I'm done dealing with it."
"I have never been in worse care than when I was a patient at Texas Diabetes and Endocrinology. I was a patient of Dr. Tran’s, and I never felt as though she listened to me. I told her every appointment that I was experiencing fatigue, sleep problems, and concerning weight gain (about 40 lbs over the course of a year, when I switched to this practice), and the only advice she offered was for me to eat 1200 calories a day. She never asked questions about my nutrition, exercise regimen, or general lifestyle. Dr. Tran prescribed me a natural thyroid medication, which my new endocrinologist doesn’t even prescribe because of how ineffective it is. It is frustrating because I was happy on my old medication, but Dr. Tran was insistent on switching me to a “natural” medicine and didn’t seem to take into account that this medication wasn’t improving my symptoms. Dr. Tran also told me to take vitamin D supplements even when my vitamin D levels were elevated. I don’t think she took the time to read my chart before our appointments, which would explain why she was giving me such poor advice. I’ve never received such inadequate care, and it’s so frustrating because all of my thyroid symptoms were so elevated when I was under the care of Texas Diabetes and Endocrinology. I think my symptoms will improve greatly now that I am not under their care."
"I have been seeing Dr. Sunny at Texas Diabetes & Endocrinology ever since Dr. Krishna left. Dr. Sunny has excellent in every way. She clearly explains the lab results, answers all questions and explains any recommendations. I feel very well cared for."
"Their words, not mine “we are booked out 1 year in advance with no openings”. If your doctor requests a 6 week follow up, this won’t be booked on the day of your appointment as they are too busy with their other existing patient appointments already scheduled. I’ve been a patient for 7 years and have had a wonderful experience that I can recommend Dr. Singh as a really excellent doctor (however, shes no longer with the practice) The scheduling concerns only began recently in the past year. Even during my pregnancy, they had availability within two weeks since they were seeing me every 2-6 weeks. UPDATE: The doctor booked the next appointment at the end of the recent appointment. This was greatly appreciated."
