"Dr. Nguyen doesn’t listen to his patients concerns or complaints. Just because he is a doctor doesn’t mean he is right. The staff doesn’t return any voicemails or calls but harasses you when THEY need something. Wish I never came to this office to begin with, save yourself the headache and heartache. Tri City Pain Associates as a whole has been a nightmare to work with and the turn over rate they have with staff speaks for itself. Be careful."

"I see the negative reviews and can understand where they come from. Dr. Nguyen is certainly more lax than other doctors in his grade. At first, I thought maybe he didn't take any of my issues seriously (i had been referred by another doctor due to a vehicle accident that herniated 4 discs in my spine). It seemed as though he didn't believe me. This changed once he looked at my files and rec from the other doctor. I don't blame him for the way he conducts himself, in a place like Austin where the amount of drug addicts grows every day, his job is not to feed addictions. He is a pain doctor. He helps cure pain. In my case, I specified i did not want drugs, would prefer a procedure to end it permanently. We explored the option of ablation to the nerves that are irritated and pinched. We did the proper exams and tests and then did the ablations. Ive gotten 3 of the 4 done so far and im seeing him next week for the final one. This process will have taken over 6 months before completion. I agree he could probably be more professional (i like his relaxed approach, it makes me more comfortable), and lots of billing and insurance issues happen at every doctors office. But the way this man performs procedures is insane (in a good way). He is so precise, quick and efficient. If he tells me something will be painless, i truly believe him. He does an excellent job, and I could not be more pleased to have him conduct the procedures necessary to heal. I recommend him."

"I would not recommend this doctor for anything. Among the discussion that this doctor had with my husband, he asked how long he had the pain he was having. My husband replied three years. This doctor laughed. Very arrogant and rude. If he thinks pain is a laughing matter, he best find another profession."

"Update:*** After everything I stated below, they had the nerve to bill me for the visit they canceled. If all the sites are this bad. I dont know how Tricity is still in business***I am so disappointed with this clinic. They are unprofessional and uncaring. The treatment started off great with knee injections. But when my insurance wouldn't cover the next procedure, they ghosted me. There was no other treatment offered. The billing office was uneducated on the referral approval process.Dr. Nguyen went out of country. Here's my question...why didn't they know my insurance wouldn't cover the procedure they offered? If they deal with this insurance all the time. They should have known. It's almost as if they just got paid what they could without regard to my care. Now I have to start over with a new provider. Don't waste your time or money."

"I would warm anyone, but especially older patients, to stay far away from this hack of a doctor/practice. My mother was referred to Dr Brandon Nguyen and I attended the one and only appointment she had with him. First red flag - he made it known he was upset another doctor had sent her and insinuated she was only there for pain medication despite the fact I had copies of her recent MRI reports. His rude behavior continued. She would try to explain the immense amount of pain she was in and where, but he would interrupt and talk over her. At one point she stopped and asked if he was going to let her, the patient, finish. He definitely did not appreciate that. He rushed the rest of the appointment and said he would call in medication for her and would see her for a follow up and abruptly walked out. We both sat there for a minute because we were so taken aback. We were checking out and he yelled from some other room to leave a urine specimen. I had walked out to get the car and when my mother got in she explained that she didn't feel comfortable putting her name on it. She asked a lady at the desk where it was supposed to go because there wasn't any place in the restroom. The lady told her to "just put it over there" pointing to a table in another room. Everything from the doctor's behavior to the office being in disarray was concerning. We both decided there was no way she would ever see him again. However, every month she gets a bill with a balance owed. Every month I call and get the run around. They've either lost her paperwork or can't find the Medicare/Medicaid information. Every month I provide it to no avail. Now they're threatening to send her account to collections. Once again, I called, but this time I asked to speak to a supervisor. I explained the situation (again) and told her this was borderline harassment. The new story today was they couldn't tell me anything because of HIPAA, even though I'm the one that personally filled out the paperwork. My name is always on her paperwork since I'm the one who handles matters for her. I let the doctor that originally referred her to Tricity know what occurred so he wouldn't refer anyone else. I would hate for anyone to be treated this way, but especially someone elderly who may not have someone to advocate on their behalf."
