"The application for their gold card was the most dysfunctional experience I can ever recall. I had a serious health concern and did not have health insurance. So a lady in a separate clinic suggested applying for the hhs gold card. Over a 7 month period, they rejected 8 applications, mostly for additional information not listed in the application instructions. Most of the rejection letters reached my house AFTER the 2 week window to return their requested information had expired. Some of their staff were very condescending and disrespectful —laughing at my frustration — when I called them to clarify what information they needed. I finally gave up and sought help elsewhere. I saw some high reviews where apparently their service is inconsistent at best, because my experience was a disgrace."
