Reviews
"Such a gorgeous place! Saw some rabbits and gorgeous birds today on my hike. My first time here, but it was a blast!"
"Great park for camping, with lots of wildlife, despite being in a city. Campground was nicely paved and level, facilities clean, trails well marked, and ranger led nature programs on the weekends. This park gets lots of day use as well, fishing is a popular activity. Convenient to shopping if needed. There is some playground equipment, leashed-dog friendly, lots of lakeside picnic tables, and restrooms are well spaced through the park, so that even if you go on quite a long hike, you are always less than a mile from a restroom."
"Second year we stay at park site #110. Wish it was more leveled but we made it work :) campsite was clean and had a nice view of the lake. Can’t wait to come back next year. Park has nice trails and speed limit on road is 20. The site includes picnic table with a metal canopy so you can hang lights because it is very dark at night. The exit to park is extremely tight for a 45 ft Motor Coach towing a SUV"
"Stayed here a couple of nights last December. Good safe park, large pull-thru sites for RVs. Covered table and fire ring provided. The lake is beautiful and peaceful, with some good surrounding hiking trails. No camp store, but Laredo is close by. Dropped it a star due to construction and lack of restrooms in the campground - but that's probably wrapped up by now."
