Kids First Pediatrics

"I went to Kids First Pediatrics, myself, until I was 18. Once I had a kid of my own, I of course didn't hesitate and took my oldest there. 11 years and 4 kids later, I have educated myself and have chosen to make different medical choices for my kids. That medical choice being, to stop vaccinating my kids and not start at all on the youngest. Unfortunately, when making my recent appt for 3 out of 4 kids, the staff was only concerned if I would be doing a catch-up schedule for my youngest and when I had said 'no' I was told they would no longer accept her as a patient. While we all reserve the right for our own choices, it is so disappointing that this facility (& I'm sure many others) has chosen to turn a family away due to that choice. To me, it's clear that making sure to have kids that are only being vaccinated are the priority. Why would the turn us away, when we pay our bills in full and pay out of pocket, as well, seeing as how we don't have traditional insurance? Well, it's certainly not 29 years of loyalty and on time payments that matter.... My first guess is that the kick back from the companies providing the vaccines speaks louder and gains the number one priority. Also, over the years not all of the front desk staff have been very polite. Pushing you over to voicemail, answering rudely and with quite a bit of attitude, or not helping you at all and just transferring you to voicemail, all for you to have to call back."

"This is our first visit and had a pleasant experience so far. Dr. Rachana is so patient and answered every single question of ours. There were two different waiting rooms for sick and regular visits which I liked so much."

"I take both my kids to Kids First Pediatrics and never had a problem before. But this time my son was sick for couple of days and I took him to doctor for 5:20 pm appointment where he was confirmed positive for FLU and they said we will send the prescription to the pharmacy but when I reached Pharmacy after 6:00pm they said they don't have any prescription. I have to wait for almost 1 hour with the hope they will send prescription(my pharmacy closes at 7:00pm). The doctors office didn't sent any prescription to the Pharmacy. When I called doctors office they said doctors generally sent prescription after seeing all her patients but they didn't tell me this at their office. Finally I got medicine for my son next day at 10:00am. Lesson learnt, if your kid is sick it's better to take them to urgent care instead."

"All the doctors have always been thorough and sent referrals as needed (ENT, Plastic Surgeon, ETC). My daughter was diagnosed with needing tubes. They were very cognizant about not just doing tubes because they wanted to but because she truly needed them. Everyone is nice and professional"
