"If you want to give your money away sign up with Delta. Delta is a joke of an insurance. They hide their phone number (Cause don't want you to use your insurance and they just want your money) ...if you manage to call them, the people that answer cannot even change your dentist without making you wait for an hour, they also allow you to make only one dentist change.... after that you are screwed with a bad dentist and a terrible insurance."
"My Dentist changed insurance to out of network due to delta not increasing cost of work in a very long time! Have to find new dentist!"
"Once Costco stopped offering Delta Dental group coverage in mid 2023, Delta Dental began denying claims. That’s my experience. Even though my plan details specify coverage details, they continue to deny paying my dentist, who is a provider on my DPO plan. Each time I prove to a Delta claims representative that the reason given is wrong, they give a different reason. They’ve given me, and my dentist billing department, 4 reasons so far. Delta reps either don’t take notes, or bother to read notes from previous calls. I’ve spent 3 hours to get 4 bogus reasons. I would not recommend using this company. The only thing they’re good for is processing your premium payments."
"SO unorganized and unhelpful. They don't have a contact number easily located on their website. The number listed on a page at the bottom is apparently for an office in a different state than mine and "every office has it's own website." What??? This is not obvious or communicated in any way. Once I finally got a hold of someone I kept being told, "you can check this on the website" or "as you can see on the website." Customer service is nonexistent with this place. I would seriously rather pay out of pocket/network than mess with this company again."
