"If I could give ZERO - I would and this is why: We moved here in November 2022 and started the process to get an in-home primary care through Lubbock Family Health and Dr. Franklin’s office for mobile service. It took over a month to get an appointment even through we live in a senior living community and they supposedly visit it regularly. They have refused to fill medicines that my husband has been on for over 30-years. We were told the PA feels uncomfortable prescribing a cough syrup he has used for COPD when the cough flares up. Furthermore, I have had ongoing HIGH (triple-digit) blood pressure readings that have been noted by the in-home care nurse and therapist. I have reported this to our so called primary and the in-home care has also. Most recent BP of 184/107 and weeks have gone by with NO communication from our primary. Their office moved without notifying of us of any phone number change. I spoke to Ashley at the office last week and she said the home care did not tell them about the high BP, probably because they had no way to contact them either. I reported my BP readings to her again just as I did in the beginning of January when she was here visiting. As of today, I have NOT heard anything about increasing my BP medicine dosage or changing my medicine in general. They put everything on the specialist to do, which I have not been scheduled. The bottom line: Something as simple as increasing or changing medicine or prescribing medicine that one has been taking for over 30-years – this office will NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE with. I do NOT feel comfortable feeling all the symptoms that I do with extremely high blood pressure readings and the lack of care in overseeing our healthcare. This office is NOT the one for senior care in Lubbock Texas. There are others listed and I would strongly recommend touching base with another primary care for in home seniors. You never know how to get a hold of someone and we have not even seen or talked with the doctor. We do NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE getting so called care from a doctors office that cannot and will not prescribe cough syrup and change or increase blood pressure medicine because I am the ONE more at-risk for heart attack and stroke because of their lack of care and treatment."
