Classic Inn Motel 4702 South Congress Avenue, Austin, TX 78745

"I booked a reservation in March for a stay at the end of May through a booking site. We were looking forward to trying out this seemingly charming motel. Unfortunately, the motel cancelled the booking when I did not respond to a message regarding a discrepancy between by partner's name vs mine in the booking within 1 business day (they emailed on a Saturday of Mother's Day Weekend and I tried to address it on Tuesday, but found they had cancelled the reservation). I called the hotel and had planned to simply re-book the room directly with them but the man answering the phones was extremely unpleasant and rude. When I recognized how this establishment deals with small problems (chastise and berate the customer), I felt like I probably dodged a bullet. I will happily book a night elsewhere."

"A friend stayed there on extended stay. Seemed fine to me except for one thing— management and operators always asking about visitors. Annoying personal questions. When I tested a theory, I found it to be true... Having visited all afternoon and to early evening, management was eyeing me on porch. I took my driver's license to Office asking if they needed a copy for the Official Record. They pretended "Non-Interest" shinning me on saying "No Sir." I asked why the leering at me, "A Paying Customer's Guest?" That was denied but odd... It's an affordable room, child-safe, drug free zone... Peace ✌️ Brian Bruce"

"Not a bad place. It's clean and they don't bug you by coming to your room all the time. The parking is very small, them the only exit/entry opens right to busy Congress Ave. So be careful!!"

"Being staying there for a while now and everything was good until the covid virus. I have been out of work so I got 2 weeks behind,made payment arrangements with the guy, who is awesome but the lady woth red hair is horrible! Just recently came to my room and cable was disconnected. Come to find out the box in my room was taken off the hotel account and now this morning my lights in my room was shut off but the ac unit was still on! I guess they figured since I was suppose to be asleep I wouldn't notice. Had to get dress for work in the dark. Went to the office the little old lady was up and did nothing about but complain to us she didn't know what happened but everyone else's lights were on but mines. Will be looking to see if this is legal for sure.."

"The Classic Inn Motel is in my opinion way too much money for the value. On a Sunday night, with no occupancy hardly except for maybe a car or two it seemed, they were trying to charge me $75 which I stated was absolutely ridiculous and more expensive than the motel room I had got the previous night at Motel 6 on a Saturday. There is definitely bugs in the rooms, and any hotel that charges that much for a room of this nature is just trying to make back the money that they are not getting due to occupancy level being low, in my opinion. This needs a major renovation, it could serve as a great place for a Extended Stay type of environment if renovated the proper way and charge the right rates."
