Courtyard by Marriott Austin North/Parmer Lane

"Good hotel north of downtown when you don't want to pay the extreme downtown prices. It has a large lobby and sitting area to work or relax in. Clean and not out of date except.... they need to get rid of those rounded floor bathtubs and put in new shower floors. This is not a reason to avoid this hotel, just a "watch your step" notification for my over 55 friends. You are not far from downtown, restaurants, and shops."

"I understand its a 3 star hotel, but theres no upkeep - the shower floor looks like its rusting, couches have stains on them, staff is unpleasant, TV doesn’t work. Although, must admit - cleaning is decent."

"Not sure how they are even in business. The lobby is nice, but the rooms do not match the additional cost compared to other hotels in the area. Also, there is no breakfast, which for this type of property is default in this market. Wifi speed was barely able to stream YouTube. My speed test showed I was getting 2mbs. Sad. Finally the sink drain stopper was broken. It would not stay open, so I just lifted it out so water could drain. The shower also drained slow. There are better hotels with half a mile that have better rooms, breakfast, and better wifi. Won't stay here again."

"We stayed 1 night at this hotel because we had to attend a funeral. Arrived to the hotel around 9:30 p.m. No one was there to serve us (3 families). After 10 minutes, we had to ask the bar tender for help to look for the front desk attendant to check us in. One of our families had to move to another room in the middle of the night because there was bugs in the bathroom. We paid for breakfast and were not told that we needed to get a coupon in order to get the food during check-in. After we checked out of the hotel, we found that a $50 holding charge went through our credit cards for each of our rooms. We were told that it will be credited back after 5 to 7 days. We never had this situation with other hotels before. We are all totally disappointed with this visit at the Courtyard by Marriott."

"The staff at this hotel are just lovely. From the front desk personnel to the kindly room service woman, I was impressed. I would however like to single out Gregory C (Conrad?) in the morning breakfast area. Gregory might be the nicest person you'd ever want to meet. He is so kindly and warm and welcoming. Another random guest I did not know said to me "Oh he is the best. He's just great." to which I concurred. If more people were like Gregory, this world would be a much nicer, inclusive, respectful place."
