"My husband and I brought relatives from out of town to visit the wonderful stained glass in the hallways and enjoy the "cowboy" atmosphere of their bar. We all had a terrific time and took some great photographs."
"This place is top notch, but the rooms are a little quirky, but still nice. After a Red eye flight we arrived at 6am, it was a little bit early, the door was locked, but we managed to get inside Our room wasn't ready? Ha ha, but they did get us in at 11. We had a great breakfast with cocktails."
"Yesterday, I enjoyed the most magical experience! I was meeting a friend for lunch at the Driskill and arrived early to tour the hotel. Everyone was helpful and courteous. The entire hotel is glorious, and I can't wait to come back to dine and for events. We ate at 1886, and Madison was an incredible ambassador for the elegance of this establishment. Her level of care and attention was extraordinary, and her enthusiasm for the Driskill helped me fall in love with the place. We enjoyed dining in the lobby area among the art and beauty. Finally, my husband is a chef, and great food is our passion. Never have I tasted such glorious jam or an omelette so divine! Several years ago, we watched "The Hundred-Foot Journey" movie. Helen Mirren's character asked the aspiring chef to cook her an omelette. I did not fully understand then--but I certainly do now after eating the Lady Bird Omelet at 1886! I am counting the moments to return for sunrise breakfast and high tea. Thank you for an afternoon I will cherish."
"Decent hotel full of history & ghost stories. Rooms are a little old but still decent. We were there during the cold snap and the general temperature of the rooms was a little cold. Check-in was seamless & the staff was generally quite nice. Location is great , close to a lot of the downtown vibrant hot spot. Nice place overall."
