"It is a new building so small issues. The bathroom plug did not work. The sheets and comforter are attached, so you were either covered or not which made temp in bed difficult to manage. The closet safe did not work. But honestly these are minor. Hotel was very nice and staff was friendly and price or fair. Shower was amazing. I would go back."
"So extremely disappointing with this Choice Hotel. 1. Our coffee maker blew the fuse to our whole room 1st thing and wasn’t back on for 2 1/2 hours after several complaints to the VERY uncaring front desk. That claimed it would be fixed “immediately” when 1st called in. 2. I was in room 1529 and let me tell you the ear plugs they supply in the room DO NOT work. 3. I asked for a quieter room and was told by Jakob (deer in the headlights) at the front desk, I couldn’t get another room till after 11 then later told after 2:00 then told come back, and later told to just come back later. 4. Our room temperature would never change from 74 degrees. 5. We were only there for 2 nights and never received any housekeep of any sorts. When I called down to get more towels I was told you have to spend 3 nights there to get serviced unless we requested. 6. Major signage issues. There is none. The good. Location, location, location. Very walkable! And the workout room was very nice. And we loved the rooftop pub. Although the high rises around the hotel were starting to block the view completely of the water. The view of I35 was nice. Gotta love Austin traffic."
"Nice and clean hotel in a good location. Do not stay on any of the floors close to the Limestone on the 16th floor if you expect to get sleep. They play very loud music and party until midnight. I would assume they would shut it down at 10:00 pm or earlier since it’s a hotel and they have rooms directly beneath it but they don’t. I called the front desk after 10:30 and all I was told is that it will shut down in about 20 minutes. I could wait or move rooms. It never stopped. Unacceptable. In town for business and unable to sleep. I have meetings in the morning. I travel to the area often but will most likely choose a different hotel on my next visit. I pay for peace, not chaos all night."
"New Hotel in Downtown Austin! Overall, my experience was great. I stayed here for an entire week for a business trip. I was nervous with it being a new hotel but it sits right behind Rainy Street(lots of food/bars/live music and very safe to walk around in this area! It was not too busy and elevators were quick. Easy pick up for Uber and transportation. Limestone on the rooftop was delicious! The breakfast in the morning was great as well. All the hotel staff were nice and welcoming. Nice big rooms, showers, comfortable beds.. I would recommend bringing your own pillow to sleep with, they were a little too plush for me. If you need anything during your stay, they were quick to get it to me. The TV in the room was big and lots of channels. I really felt like home here and will be back for future business ventures. Also, make sure you ask for Nester if you sit at the lobby bar/grill or Limestone upstairs, he was very accommodating and the service is quick! I will say the only downfall is sometimes it can be a little noisy with the music coming from Rainy street but other than that, great hotel."
"Rooms are beautiful and large. Motion activated lighting is a bit annoying, but nice when you come in after dark. Staff are very nice and try to be helpful, but some are a bit clueless. They don’t service the rooms during a stay, which makes asking for towels and coffee annoying - if they even bring it. Catered menu is good, but they don’t keep anything warm, so a lot of cold food all weekend. Fitness center is well-appointed and convenient. The hotel is located directly next to the highway. If sleep is important to you, and you are a light sleeper, this isn’t the hotel for you. You can hear the road noise, and on weekends, you’ll hear music most of the night."
