Avid Hotels Austin NW Lakeline, an IHG Hotel

"Stayed here while visiting my parents. The place was great! New, clean, the beds are comfortable and the breakfast in the morning is great! The hotel manager Jennifer is very nice, understanding and accommodating. She really set my stay over the top. Will definitely stay here again."

"Excited to get to visit this location only after a week of it having been open. Crazy cool concept for those travelers who, unlike myself-pack very light. Staff is very nice overall. The General Manager was super accommodating when after a hot shower-the smoke detector went off.....three days later and I am still struggling to hear! LOL. Immediately she remedied the issue and had the alarm company come the following morning to correct whatever made it go Chuck Norris our ear drums for a false alarm. Overall, if you have not gotten the chance to visit the Mid-Grade IHG concept "Avid" you certainly would be missing out. The contemporary decor and furniture is the coolest mix between "Memphis Style" and Modern Minimal Abstract that is pleasing to the eyes in a 90's art style. Thank you for having me Avid Lakeline! "What a new and modern hotel! Accommodations were just right for this road warrior. Conveniently located in the northwest sector of Austin near Lakeline Mall and Lake Travis. It sits off the toll road and easily accessible to major Central Texas thoroughfares, close to restaurants and shopping (I'd say within two miles of this hotel). For being a new hotel, the cleanliness was exceptional and no construction dust was evident. All guest room amenities were functioning correctly and the room decor was just right. I enjoyed all the lighting available throughout the room. Water temperature in the bathroom was hot and had high pressure. The breakfast is accompanied by 24 hour coffee stations, hot breakfast selection, a carousel of breakfast options (cereal, granola bars, variety of bagels, etc). Overall a top rating is warranted for this property and its exceptionally friendly staff."

"We had business in the area where this Avid is located and decided to give it a try since it is recently opened and other Avid locations have good reviews. Despite being only open a few days before our stay, the location was fully set up with no "just opened" issues along with a helpful and friendly staff. It has one of the better workout rooms of hotels we have recently stayed and liked that there is a water bottle fill station just outside the workout room entrance. The room and bathroom are a nice size and setup in a good layout without being overly full. The "grab and go" breakfast was good. We also liked the coffee and tea station being available 24 hours a day. One thing about the room some may not like is there not being an abundance of charging ports, but there were enough for us. The only reason we didn't give 5 stars was that it was hard to get the room temperature consistently comfortable for us overnight, and there was some road noise. Our room was on the top floor, so that may have had something to do with these 2 issues. It is possible that rooms on lower floors may not have these issues. Overall, we had a good stay and would consider staying here again (but in a room on a lower floor)."
