Sundown Inn

"I was on a business trip back in Dec. 2023. I was paying for the room by the week. I just paid for my third week and was called else where. Had five more days left on my stay. The manager could not refund my money but he did say "Next time you are in town, you can finish out your days". Me saying OK, thank you and not believing him. I came back a month later he greeted me and said " You are back to finish your stay with us, I have your room". No money out of pocket."

"It was not a very nice room. Cleaning crew is subpar at best, but it was $70 a night and in the location I needed."

"terrible. the guy changed the deal on me 3 times. he profiled me as a drug addict for having a beard. tried to charge me more for my service dog, AFTER I paid for the room. tried to charge me more money for a room key AFTER I paid for the room. what he did qualifies as extortion under the law. if I had more time I would have had him arrested. luckily for him I didn't have the time or patience to deal with him and the police. never deal with this guy. he should be arrested and deported."

"This was the 3 time and last time that my family will be staying here. the rooms are old and run down. the bathroom tub did not drain as fast as a normal good working drain would. the pool was locked and every time you wanted to go in you had to ask for them to let you in. The ice machine was locked and again you had to ask for them to open it. The door lock was at best just hanging on there. no bolt lock and could of easily been kicked in by a 10 year old. When asked for pool towels they said there was towels in the room. which there was but come on are we suppose to use the pool towel as a bath towel too? We stayed a few days and had to return a towel before we got a fresh clean towel. On top of all that the man that runs the place acted as if we where burdening him and was very rude!!! there is no drinks(tea or anything) in the pool area. no place to lay out by the pool and no shade at the pool either. sad to say I would not recommend this place to anyone!!! pay the extra $$ and find a different hotel!!!!"

"I managed to get a decent room and it was a lot better price that the other close by motel. The truth is that motels on the lower range of price have to be checked out before paying. That is the only way to travel and save money plus not end up with a bad experience. I would recommend this motel but only to those who check in early and look at the room before paying. Persons who make phone reservations on low cost motels are taking their chances and likely to get the worse rooms available."
