Palace Inn Tomball

"1 star for an amazing location so close and easy to get to everything I needed to go to and 1 star for being incredibly clean (as far as I could tell) so, why -3 stars? Simple. A hotels purpose is to provide sleeping arrangements for paying travelers so naturally the number 1 thing to get right is the bed. That bed felt like laying on cardboard and both mornings I woke up with extreme pain in my back to the point that I'm glad I had brought pain medicine just in case. please, invest in better beds. What I slept in wasn't worth the cost I paid."

"This is now a Motel 6, not a Palace Inn. Reservation was made over the phone and it was never put in the system, but they found it written down in a notepad. Definitely had to haggle a bit more than I should've, but they ended up giving me a two bed for the price of a one. TV is small, especially for a two bed. Shower was great. Overall only decent, but great for the price."

"The management, service and quality of the room was an issue. I reserved 4 rooms in total. The gentle man was appearing to have a difficult time understanding the reservations that were made. I was forced into additional nights on three of my reservations in order to stay at the property. One room had an issue with the television and the ac. When notified, management told me "This is working properly" and " The air is off all day so maybe it will blow cold later". Two of the rooms had bugs (roaches). There was also an issue with being able to check in. I was told early check in was an option when I called the property a day prior to arrival. Three of the four rooms were not available early or even at 3pm for normal check in. My mother was staying in one of the rooms that had an issue. She attempted to notify the front desk of the issues in her room. She said the manager appeared to have a different demeanor when speaking in the presence of a man versus when speaking to her alone and was reluctant to offer any solutions."

"We left a review 8 months ago when the place was very nice and very reasonable priced. It's changed. Super 8 bought the motel. I made 5 trips to the front desk and spoke to the uncaring attendant. The room want adequately cleaned when we got there, the maids were gone and the staff wouldn't clean or move us. There maids didn't come the next morning. No more breakfast. No smoke alarm, unfinished walls and shelves and open sockets. We won't return again."

"Had a great 2 week stay! rooms clean, pool was relaxing & cleaned by a professional, breakfast was good (hot and cold). Staff was attentive and professional. The gentleman in the front is a cool, great guy, very helpful too! House keeping staff is focused on your room, this location exceeded my expectations. saying that, you get more than what you pay for! It's a steal so before you go pay $250+ for one night at Holiday inn, check out this place. I hope anyone that reads this finds this helpful. I'll be coming back. Thanks!"
